I've never played any spiderweb games, although I do have Avadon and Avernum in my game library, but I left them there because I've read that they are very story-focused games, and I don't like very story-focused games, for example PST. Should I bother playing any of their games? Or which game should I play?

It's a game of almost free - if you could survive the fight - exploration.
And most interesting part for me was to figure out how to - forge? load? the fight in my favor, especially in Za-Khazy-Run run game - one of three small scenarious from Blades of Avernum.
