Then he give up because he can't find Mis1.2 and moddb page of MiseryTeam don't have it because original creators hate it (so much work only to be shit, preposterous).
What instruction? Install that one, add translation and maybe Artifact Addon, that's it.

I have read some good things about Cataclysm, could you recommend a place to download it MM and the install instructions?
Edit; found SGM 2.1 as English all in one on ModdbQ as well as SGM 2.2
So I am guessing 2.1 is Cataclysm? Or should I go for 2.2

This is weird. First time I got it.
I went to Pripyat in CoP (duh), did job with bookstore and got Gauss to identify. I was digging in my chest wondering "man, I go for the tools and maybe some artifact at the north of Pripyat", I got icon of green house (mean that you need sleep).
Though that's not a problem, went outside.
In the middle of the road to the north that icon turned from green to yellow, then when I was cleaning the north part, near the place where you defend yourself before choppers take you from the Zone, it turned red, screen started flashing. Bit annoying but manged to clean out that place.
Then suddenly my character fall unconscious (effect like anabiotic, that med stuff for blowout surviving) and he wake up, house icon went out.
But now here is the problem - my sound is off! Firing, footsteps, items...loading old saves, changing settings but nothing works.
Weird...

fixed it, volume switch was off.
This is strange... how?

It's optional thing, use it for different colors of surrounding and better performance.
BTW. I just reminded something - there are borked trees and bushes in Agroprom and Dark Valley in freeplay in Cataclysm.

I didnt install anything and it looks great that way.
Btw to nvidia users, I enabled multisampling directly in the control panel and the hit is not too bad but it acts as mich better AA than the options we had in the past for X engine games

No, Cataclysm is like 1.64GB and it's all you need. Then translation.

SGM, most recommended? Sounds like SGM Lost Souls.

Aaaand my SGM Braz 1.6.1 is broken. Can't travel to Pripyat anymore, crash at travel.

I tried out the newest OGSE, but the graphics are beyond bad.

Probably as bad as vanilla, which I never played.

The Absolute texture packs can't be installed because OGSE is standalone (no STALKER ShoC).

Other than that you are golden
Playing it right now, feel amazingly good
What do you mean bad Legion? It is almost a 10 year old game and it still looks good to me with all that bloom shit turned off
AA2 might be more your speed then

Without the Absolute packs, the game looks pre-Half-Life 2/Doom 3.

My OGSE somehow got "binded" to my STALKER ShoC-GOG install.

It has now permanently changed the install directory architecture even after reinstalling the vanilla GOG edition.

I can't install Oblivion Lost 3.1 anymore or any other mod.

Did you turn off all of the options i told you to? Leave only paralax mapping and sun shafts. Unless you seriously messed something up it cant possibly look "beyond bad"...

I found some screens that survived my OS reinstall so i might as well post them and try to put some sense into you.

Money is hard to come by in OGSE. You will constantly be torn by tough decisions. Should i sell this artifact? Should i keep it for stats? etc. You can even activate them in desperate situations and make anomalous traps.

I hope you can see in the dead center, a guy about to be blown up midair... 6 men entered that valley, only Marked One came out alive. Without a single shot fired.

This is what what happens if you get zombified. You get permanent nightvision aka necrovison.

But it gets a bit harder to see during the day.

Theres a cure however so dont flip out on that screen.

I see you were killed at Agroprom same way as me. I was shocked when my safe place on the roof wasn't bombarded with grenades and they just climbed the ladder.
They said they keep automatic turrets but I have yet to found one.
And I also died by my artifact. Didn't know you can use them like that. Just dropped, was staring at bouncing ball like a retard and died. Now I know how Rocket Team feel their defeat.

See that smoke on the building? That's where I tested this feature.

I installed that Oblivion Lost 3.1 Definitive Edition, best performance in any Stalker game, really surprised. Wish OGSE worked that good...
It's the same shit as always, the only thing that keep me playing is will to reach Limansk and other new/old maps.

So, is this OGSE mod the ultimate incliner for SoF? I played this game, when it came out, didn't get much further than second map, i think. I like it, but something happened in RL and somewhow i never came back. After all these years i'd like to give it another go, but as i understand playing it vanilla is not a good idea with all the huge improvements created throughout these years. Am i good to go with latest OGSE or is there something else for a generic ''getleman's set''?

The turrets, i forgot about them Its the only bad thing about the mod... They were in the military base and i rage quitted several times. I remember on some forum people were asking for the moders to remove them but the main moder guy said how the russian players want it to be even harder so they cant... Crazy russians. I hope they toned it down... I like it when its hard but it was just too much.

I say go with latest OGSE. You cant go wrong unless, they decided to add more turrets or something like that. In fact im gonna download it right now to see for myself.
