Just like Yves, I chase tales.

Scuse me, you mean AT-ST walkers.I can't fucking wait to climb those radio towers.
I'd play the shit out of a game where you roam around hacking things and stealing cargo as a smuggler on Corellia that sounds awesome.Watch_Dogs: Rebellionit's going to be even worse - Star Wars: The Division
Far Cry: EndorWatch_Dogs: Rebellionit's going to be even worse - Star Wars: The Division
Doesn't SWTOR count as open world? The only way I can see open world working in Star Wars is an urbanscape or maybe some kind of newly discovered resource on planet (like the zone in STALKER). The only way Star Wars restricts leaving characters from leaving the area or going wherever they want is duty or hostile forces.
Half Twilek, hopefully.Assume this will be full of strong mixed-race women then. Honk fucking honk. Shower of cunts.
Doesn't SWTOR count as open world?
I can understand the argument in the case of SWTOR (or TOW for that matter) since there are transitions between planets, the planets otherwise following the open world format (particularly in the case of some larger worlds in SWTOR). On the other hand, considering TW3 to not be open world because of 'sections' though is quite silly. By that logic, Far Cry 3 isn't open world either since there are two distinct islands which constitute clearly defined 'sections' (likewise with the three sections in Far Cry 5 that have distinct designs pertaining to the three antagonists acting as 'bosses' within them).Doesn't SWTOR count as open world?
I'd say no, but most people think of Witcher 3 as an open world game despite it being split into 4-5 sections. They could do a handful of planets with a quarter of an Assassin's Creed in each one.

SWTOR, not KotOR. And I sort of understand where you are coming from, but I think that your concept of a 'proper' open world game is too puritanical. Different sections being designed with a particular character level in mind or the plot being geographically linear doesn't breach the open world format as long as the world itself is large enough to go off the beaten path. And you can certainly do that in SWTOR and there is ample space beyond that which would have been required by the quests (not to mention that the game provides side activities that require exploring outside of the quest zones - from collecting datacrons to finding & killing unique enemies for achievements). Also I'd say KotOR not being an open world game is just as much about its story structure and linear aspects to its exploration as it is the levels being divided up.
They're probably just going to shit out a Cyberpunk 2077 clone within the next 2-3 years by reviving Star Wars: 1313 (at least conceptually). They'll prob change a few things around but I'm expecting it to be a game about a mercenary/bounty hunter.
I don't get how Ubisoft still exists.

They make quality video games that people want to buy to play. People vote with their wallets, not with codex shitposting.
A lie does not become truth, wrong doesn't become right and evil doesn't become good, just because it is accepted by a majority
