The company seeks to bring in casual fans by restricting the use of "complex" storylines.

It was time we got to see some more open ended sci-fi rpg's. Buck Roger still is fun, but after 13 or more years I could use another fix. Too early to tell too much about it, guess we'll have to wait and see.

When I think of "complex storylines" I usually think of well developed, but linear storylines with ultimately little long term replay value. Something a long the lines of Fate and Diablo, where you just kill the monsters is probably what Eric's referring to.

HG:L intro movie. But even that was pretty modest. She wasn't doing anything slutty, or trying to look slutty for that matter.

What about that ridiculous supermodel "woddle" she did, i was cringing while watching it. The end of the intro made up for it though :)

Diablo, Diablo II, Dungeon Siege II (the first one doesn't count), Nox, and Sacred.

There's been nothing else.

I'd have dropped DS2 from that list because the character system was rather weak and replaced it with FATE. Given the amount of Diablo clones made, though, it's amazing that I can only pick five that I really liked and two of them were Diablo and Diablo 2.

By the by... she looks like a cheap rip-off of the original Aeon Flux. Boo.
I think she dresses like a random anime spacegirl, which of course is similar to how Aeon Flux dresses as well. At least she looks better than Abraham Strong, but the game would have to be damn good if I'm going to bother with a repeat in gameplay. The cool thing about sci-fi is generally not how many space aliens one can massacre. Though Aeon Flux did impress me during that gauntlet she ran through where two entire rows of soldiers got shot down from walkways. So over the top.

The Avalon spread? That's on my hard drive.
On mine too. I like the October issue that I bought, but in general I have to warn that Zinio, a company selling digital editions of various magazines (including Playboy and Computer Gamiwng World (iirc)) forces you to use a reader that tries hard to corrupt your system's starting sequence and has problems with licenses.

Thanks for the link, I've only seen the gameplay video yet.

Well, it seems that wheter fantasy or sci-fi, there always seems to be a shortage of adequate feminine clothing in most videogames out there. Men just seem to find all the heavy armored body armor they want. As long as them poor gals can use Studded Bras of Charisma and Protection +12...

I think my favorites two items from any game ever are the studded bra +2 and cat o' nine tails from Wizardry 6....
