Luckily it still looks better than Morrowind, but its probably the most resource intensive inefficient RPG coming out for some time.

Kinda like the BF2 for RPGs. Big, Honking, Mess of a game that serves only to please those who spent 4 or 5 hundred on their cards/xboxes/tvs and don't want to spend that time "reading"

The first thing I'm gonna do is turn that fucking voice acting off. Patrict Stewart can scream all he wants, somewhere else.

Can someone get the PC Gamer UK scans? They reviewed the game and gave 93%. It seems they pointed many things they didn't like in it.

Those must be those famed hills you see in the distance which you can also climb.

I can't help thinking off Gothic and the hard-to-reach mountain areas near the magic border.

Also, thanks for the links. :)

Shit, this is pixelated as heaven!
Looks like in some aspects Oblivion will be closer to DF after all :D.

Thanks, Nukleus - the article is interesting. It was fun especially to read about the conversations between NPCs.
("Oblivion = Elder Scrolls' hell" for those who still wondered about that).

Check out my massive package.

lol, if you look at the first image, in the lower left near the spine is a 'Thumbnail Review' that lists the following features:

-Assassinate VIPs
-Steal valuables
-Ride horsies
-Shoot ho's

I'm pretty sure this was a copy/paste from Oblivion's design document, but who knows.

@Lumpy: Yeah, but I didn't know that Oblivion was Dagon's realm. I guess it's my poor knowledge of the TES lore but I'm pretty sure Oblivion was a general term for all realms of the daedra princes. I must've somehow missed the info that we'll be fighting Dagon this time.

The quests described in the review are quite interesting...

That is a PC Gamer UK review staple; you should be able to make out 3 ticks for the first 3 features and then a cross with the last one.

Wait, does that mean there aren't any prostitutes in Oblivion, or that prostitutes are considered plot-required and so invulnerable?

Oblivion is the realm of all Daedra, and there are also some unaligned planes in it. But in TES IV, gates will only open to the plane of Mehrunes Dagon.

O rly? I'd like to see some support for this claim.

Also, some more info on the quest to kill people at the party. It seems that someone locks up five people and you in a house at a so called party, and you're supposed to kill each of them without the others finding out. Rather than only following them around until they are alone, you can actually persuade them to separate themselves from the group.

I confess this review spiced up my interest in the game.

Sure, that problem about NPCs having absurd and repetitive conversations between them, and even stealing things in front of everyone with no aparent reason, might be real spoilers in the game.

But I guess people playing aren't exactly worried about following NPCs to hear their conversations and schedules.

I heard that instead of all argonians being slaves all the redguard are. Interesting twist.

Yes, apparently the argonians are now the ones doing the crack-dealing.
