When I meant they are both to the right, I didn't mean they are both in the same place NOR to the far right. I just meant that Americans get so fussed up over the Democrat/Republican debate when they aren't really THAT different compared to the rest of the spectrum. Americans don't exactly get to choose that much; they are only looking at a very small part of the spectrum.
