I'm just going to spam this in whatever ToR thread i can find. Shit's fucking ridiculous.
Edit: I think I'll wait until the game goes f2p, and then maybe I'll try it out.

Yeah that's pretty sad alright. Considering I've been like "Hitler Hitler Hitler" in guild chat and telling dumbfucks to die in party chat, I'm glad I'm not banned after seeing this shit.
As for the "exploit"-bans, those are just silly. Bioware fans rushing to their defense is the most sad part though. How can you defend that shit.

That's really sad...so SW:TOR is just a playground for casuals, doing anything that sets you apart, like trying to powergame or even earn some money is illegal. New world record in decline.

From what I've been told he got warned because he was trading faction control with an enemy player, and that's considered exploiting because resource nodes respawn everytime faction control shifts in a zone.

Win trading is expected to be against the rules but it's still retarded he got banned for that.

Also, I want to be a Lolborg.

hello, not to disturb, but i'm with the lolborgs, dear sir or madam. have you engaged in free speech or exploration lately ? if so, i'm afraid, i have to inform you, that the bioware collective is not amused. terms of service apply, your account will be assimilated, complaining is futile. also: sooner or later you will be boarded.

Yeah...what's funny is that if it were two whole raids trading wins nothing would have happened.

Fuck, it's the very definition of a theme park MMO we have here.

Want to earn profit by trading and taking advantage of the market? Too bad

Want to just explore the world (or worlds, wathever) at your own pace? Too fucking bad

Want to be able to freely talk to your BRO's in a private way without being investigated? Oh, how fucking bad.

GET YOUR FUCKING ARMS INSIDE THE RIDE ALL THE TIME FOR YOUR SAFETY!!!

Seriously, this is ridiculous even for EA. For a genre that takes pride in the "freedom" it gives... well... everyone who has even an inch of self-respect should just stop supporting this fucking game. Let's hope a meteor crashes into their HQ or something.

exploring high-level areas with low-level characters
exploiting, not exploring, actually. it's people getting on the lvl 40+ pvp world with their shitty lvl 10 alts and then having the two factions capture bases in turns to grind their dailies and weeklies instead of pvping. sure it's bioware's fault due to shitty design, but still pretty obvious you'd get banned for it.

No it's actually not obvious at all. There's no reward for defending only for capturing. Any sane player will just capture and go sightseeing until other faction captures and they do just that when they go there at proper level. So "wintrading" isn't the offense there.
Which means the problem is they go there at lower levels. All you know as a player is: I can get there with the ship I jost got, nothing kills me, there's no stop sign, there's mining nodes. How the fuck do you extrapolate that the moron designer doesn't want you there and you'll get suspended?
With that logic if I use a stealth char to mine shit in higher level areas I also deserve a ban, not like I use my class skills for something obvious...

This game is a pile of shit. It's going to boost WoW sales. Blizzard (and Bobby) should be thanking EA and Bioware for being so retarded.
