The dwarf and the elf are the only normal ones. Originally I thought that was boring, but now its sounds pretty alright. Let's go back to doing updates on normal characters that seem like they belong in a high medieval setting.

Now the 3 companion limit is starting to sound like compassion.

The Forgettable Realms are shit. Greenwood and his ilk (Salvatore, Weis/Hickman, etc_) fucking raped fantasy rpgs for gold. Drizzt is the fucking Taylor Swift of "old school" rpgs. Nothing worthwhile will ever happen in Fagrun.

You know, when 2e dropped Greyhawk for FR as its default campaign setting, I thought it was because they wanted to start newbie DMs out with a basic, derpy, cookie-cutter milieu they could customize into their own. Alas, that was the last time I was wrong about TSR/WotC.

Forgotten Realms receives a lot of needless "this has been seen too many times" hate here because most DnD video games always take place in the same areas, aka Sword Coast and its vicinity, even though Forgotten Realms is pretty huge. Besides, when it comes to generic high fantasy settings, FR is the best
