Not sure what happened, but the game crashes when trying to load my save now. I tried uninstalling ToEE, Co8, and T+ and reinstalling to no avail.

I did notice that I spent all yesterday playing on the 1.0.22 launcher, though I doubt that's particularly related.

Here's the situation and where it might have broken:

I was in B1 of the temple, and was escorted past the barricades of the Earth Temple to speak to Romag. I turned in Romag 2 and 3, then when he offered to take me to Hedrack I attacked because fuck this guy. After I wiped out the room, a random bugbear, with two sets of walls between him and me, decided to alert and come after my party. Neither he nor I could get past the barricade, and I couldn't interact with it since I was in combat. Went through probably 20 or so rounds of cycling just to see if he could manage to pop the door (I saw a ghoul break the harpy cage door once, so anything is possible).

After a while, none of this was working, so I said screw it and used the console command to teleport to Hommlet. This did have the desired effect of taking me out of combat. I had saved mid-bugbear-combat and closed/reloaded/took a break/something, so that was my load point, and I think that was when it started getting unstable, maybe during the combat before. However, it was when I was in Hommlet, after having leveled up my chars who had dinged, that things started really breaking. If the save will load, it runs slow, and I can't really interact, until I get a crash message.

Thanks, just got the crash now too. Somehow it ran fine this morning, I guess it's random. Will have to investigate, but it's a nontrivial issue that might take a while, so if you have an earlier save it would probably be best to roll back.

Actually, you have the earlier save you posted with the Groaning Spirit ;)

I was actually able to recover that save (I had deleted it in Drive to upload the glitched save)

I was sat down, disheartened at needing to redo 20k XP and most of a full weekend of gameplay. I at least had a roadmap for all the things I needed to do. Loaded up the save and...

Realized this is the save where the enemies have over 1mil temp HP. Haha whoooops.
You can telport out of it ;)

It also had an issue with a huge negative charisma drain on Layli, I fixed that for you though. Attached save.

I am running v1.0.24, and am getting "runtime error" when my party is in Welkwood Bog and are about to make contact with the illusionary verbobanc soldiers, making the game crash. I think it started happening in 1.0.23 already. I have made sure to be using the v24 start icon, and have updated all the optional windows 8.1 updates, but the problem continues. My party has successfully completed a number of quests in Hommlet, and killed the spiders with no problems. The runtime error only happens at the moment my party gets close to the fake soldiers at Welkwood Bog.

Can't replicate the bug on my end, but it looks like you're missing that file? Does it exist in your ToEE folder? (should be inside the <ToEE>\data\art\etc. folder). Have you done any modding or something like that?

If not please try reactivating the Co8 module.

If it is there, perhaps file access is getting blocked by your OS for some reason, try running as admin.

Thanks, I'll give that save a try.

And I was apprehensive to teleporting out, since that was one of the last major things I did, and most extraordinary, leading up to my last save file flubbup.

I was playing on ironman, so no save file for that...
but when doing the heroes challenge in the arena. the game bugged everytime i attacked the black wizard before killing everything else.
then once i figured that out, i killed everything else without touching him. and when he was alone... i could kill him and to my glee it worked. game hasn't crashed again since.
that crash happenned like 3 times before i figured that out.

dont know if its worth mentionning considering im on ironman and that may just be an entirely different game.

IIRC Ironman doesn't work with Temple+ or Co8, one of the two. I seem to recall seeing it advised somewhere to not play Ironman with the mods.

Formation breakup is the worst part really. Compared to that slower map travel is irrelevant.

Oh, how about allowing enter/linebreak to say yes to yes/no prompts (most obviously overwriting a save file)?

That one was fairly easy, done for next version. (Enter/Esc for Ok/Cancel)

Seems to me that if you make a 6th character that their select range is actually a thin rectangle from where they are standing till halfway up the screen. if you need screenshots let me know
Yes, please upload a screenshot and a savegame since I'm not getting that error.

Most of the reports I've seen of this issue (including mine) were from DirectX not being fully updated.

DX11 is normally delivered through Windows Update, so if you don't keep your computer updated regularly, you might not have the latest version.

Give that a go (I know your output said you were DX11 but this is the most common solution I've seen for this error).

What does it take for a paladin to fall nowadays - you used to be able to lose your paladinhood by joining the drinking contest but now I want to become a proper blackguard I find a lonely badger to butcher and am still a paladin of Heireneous - several badgers later I am still a paladin with full powers and the Enemy of Hommlet reputation surely this cannot be right?

SwingBlade, my ironman game seems to work pretty fine. i have had the same problems as the original game still. and since they were fixed haven't seen them in ironman either.

and honestly why would it make a difference ?
the only thing ironman does is forbidding the use of save games.
thats pretty much all ironman is. i actually dont believe ironman mode is an entirely new designed stuff... im pretty sure its the very same game but with saving disabled.

I was unable to replicate this problem... too bad you don't have a save.
Can you post the crash dumps?

(also it shouldn't be related to Ironman. Ironman is generally not recommended because of reliance on a single save - if it bugs out you're done...)

Edit: I've already uninstalled ToEE even Co8 and Temple+ then reinstalled it but it still crashes, I even uninstalled Microsoft Visual C++ 2005,2008,2013 & 2015 then also reinstalled it.

Most of the reports I've seen of this issue (including mine) were from DirectX not being fully updated.

DX11 is normally delivered through Windows Update, so if you don't keep your computer updated regularly, you might not have the latest version.

Give that a go (I know your output said you were DX11 but this is the most common solution I've seen for this error).

What does it take for a paladin to fall nowadays - you used to be able to lose your paladinhood by joining the drinking contest but now I want to become a proper blackguard I find a lonely badger to butcher and am still a paladin of Heireneous - several badgers later I am still a paladin with full powers and the Enemy of Hommlet reputation surely this cannot be right?
Well the badgers are former bandits and thus legitimate targets in the eyes of your god :P

To gain the fallen status you need to acquire the Butcher of Hommlet rep - try killing some civvies, or alternately IIRC sleeping with the Nulb whores will also do the trick.

Edit: Also the 2nd stage of Beggar Maker reputation will make you fall.

I am running v1.0.24, and am getting "runtime error" when my party is in Welkwood Bog and are about to make contact with the illusionary verbobanc soldiers, making the game crash. I think it started happening in 1.0.23 already. I have made sure to be using the v24 start icon, and have updated all the optional windows 8.1 updates, but the problem continues. My party has successfully completed a number of quests in Hommlet, and killed the spiders with no problems. The runtime error only happens at the moment my party gets close to the fake soldiers at Welkwood Bog.

Can't replicate the bug on my end, but it looks like you're missing that file? Does it exist in your ToEE folder? (should be inside the <ToEE>\data\art\etc. folder). Have you done any modding or something like that?

If not please try reactivating the Co8 module.

If it is there, perhaps file access is getting blocked by your OS for some reason, try running as admin.

The file was missing. I don't do any modding, but maybe I made a mistake with the console, or some AVG cleaning decided it was a duplicate file or something.

Anyway, I reactivated the mod, and the problem has been fixed. Thank you.

Loyal good people can't do anything in the brothel !
i have an entire group of loyal good right now and we can't even do a single thing in the brothel. they always ends up saying, i know what this is and i dont want any part of it.
so i doubt the brothel to be any good to lose paladin status.


Also, you can actually save your game in ironman as long as you just backup your save but you just can't have numerous and they save every time you enter a place. on a single save. too bad i thought of it after i got thru the encounter, or i would of given you the save. i'll start backing up if anything else comes up. and if anything i can redo another game on normal see if it does it and then give you the save if it does.

No issues here. It might be due to you clicking the game while it's "thinking hard" about loading. I tested with a *lot* of other stuff going on, and ran a click-spammer set to 50ms intervals, with no noticeable delay in the new scene loading.

By the way I can't use this link "https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/179113" because my OS is not genuine, are there any ways to install/fix Direct X 11 without the update? I've tried some offline installers but that didn't seems to work. My last option is to clean install my system which I shouldn't do yet. :(

Additional info, I've noticed every time I reinstall Temple+ when it say it will create a shortcut to desktop, it doesn't and it will crash.

Log file can be found at C/Users/Owner/Saved Games/TemplePlus

My windows 8.1 also doesn't create a shortcut, but TemplePlus.exe is located in C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\TemplePlus\app-1.0.24, so you can just make your own shortcut.

Not casting shade, but you're going to have a lot of general system issues with an unactivated copy of Windows. It's generally unwise to be taking a raw (not-updated) installation into the wild internets. Consider picking up a legit key; you can find cheap legit Windows keys for sale at https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/

You won't be able to run anything that requires system verification, which includes MS updates and various downloads from their site.

Looking at your log, it is definitely a DX11 issue. Updating that should fix it, if you can do so.
