Yeah, there are multiple answers for many of the blanks throughout the entire game. They are usually for the inconsequential prepositions or allowing you to use either a person's first or last name to fill a single blank. I like that it's not completely anal about the word choice and acknowledges that you understand the gist of things.

Finally played the Vampire DLC, loved it, felt smart. I like how each "scene" spans several days to make them comparable in size to the biggest levels of the original release.

Finally played the base game. The graphics are distinctive but I can't say I'm a fan really even though their cheeky crudeness should be a good fit. Had to wave the white flag in the last proper case to get the cannon murder solved, just couldn't make the leap of logic to arrive anywhere close to a solution there. Thankfully the epilogue clears some things up.

Is this the highest-profile Latvian game in all history?

Announcing The Case of the Golden Idol Redux
The free update will be available October 10!
Hello Detectives,

A lot has happened since the original release of
The Case of the Golden Idol
back in 2022. Outside of two DLC expansions, we released home console ports on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. Additionally, through our partnership with Netflix, we brought all available Golden Idol content to mobile devices.

Along the way, a lot of improvements were made to the original game as a result of porting the game to a new engine. An overhaul to the UI, a new hint system, 13 new localizations, readability and save improvements, and dozens more quality-of-life changes make
The Case of the Golden Idol
a much more seamless and enjoyable experience to play, especially on Steam Deck.

In the spirit of making sure every version of
The Case of the Golden Idol
is the definitive version to play, on October 10 we will ship a free update that will provide all of these enhancements to the original Golden Idol experience on Steam. All owners of
The Case of the Golden Idol
will receive the Redux version completely free of charge, and will be included in all future purchases of the game.

Steam
After this update is live, players will receive a prompt when launching the game asking which version they wish to play - The original version as it is currently, or the Redux release which includes the improvements made above.
Additionally, you can transfer your progress from the original to the Redux version, so detectives can pick up after the last case that has been completed.

Console
The Nintendo Switch version of the game will be delisted and no longer available for purchase on October 9, and replaced with this new Redux rerelease. Anyone that owns or purchases the current version of Case on this platform before this date will retain the ability to play this version, and will be granted the Redux release of the Complete Edition free of charge - although the Switch version does not include support for save transfer. The Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 releases are built on this Redux framework, so nothing will change here.

We hope that the addition of these features, new languages, and better support for Steam Deck will allow more players to experience
The Case of the Golden Idol
.

Lastly, don’t forget to wishlist and follow
The Rise of the Golden Idol
, we will have some big announcements to share very soon.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
In preparation for the rise of the golden idol, i "replayed" (not replay replay, but just combing trough the base game and spider DLC for refresher) the whole game and then did the lemurian vampire for the first time.

I love timeframe mechanic, it is quite clever reusing the same assets while presenting different scenario, and it gives more dynamic feel to the event. As the bsse game use space as a dimension to explore, lemurian vampire use time as an addition, it is such an elegant addition.

I love how the story loop back and the 2nd case murder trick is so cool, i feel like sherlock holmes when i figured it out. The plot overall is enjoyable too.

My body is ready for rise of the golden idol now.
