The time has come to annihilate the Hin'in, should we win we will have both the Hin'in territory and the Raumens.
I vote A.

I still think they would have been better as allies.

One result of fighting telepathic enemy is that we may have the chance to planet-busting. One theory is that those buggers may create a network of brainwaves, so if we destroy one planet or a huge population in one strike, it will create huge disruptions.

A bit too indiscriminated, but a telepathic being can be considered more dangerous than one equivalent being of another race.

Hmmmmm.

We require psi disruptors. A scrambling device emulating their brainwave length, or a device bombarding all wavelengths but ours, to be certain - this could be a terrible weapon against the Hin'in.

Round up the scientists! Promise them a literal golden shower should they succeed - or a metaphoric one should they fail. And a summary execution on top, too. We need those anti-psi weapons and defenses. And we don't need them tomorrow, we need them yesterday!

Why do you all assume that their telepathy extends to minds different than their own?
And what does make you think that they can do Jedi mind tricks?
All we know for sure is that they can communicate without words.

My suggestion only concerns destroying their communication. In war, disrupting communication is basically paramount. Whether it's intrusive telepathy or not it doesn't matter.

Point taken.
This is however assuming that their telepathy is long-range, which again we don't know.
They might use conventional communication for long range, possibly reducing the effectiveness of any scrambling.

Also, the very concept of "brainwaves" sadly fairly unknown to us, hence it is questionable that there will be any scientific advances on that matter before the war is over.
Especially as we do not have any live Hi'in speciemen to examine.

Vote: A

Obviously just a formality at this point, but I don't want to look soft for the coming election year!

Once we isolate the frequency that their telepathic communications operate on we can just transmit a signal of intense pain over and over until they bow down and suck our collective Codexian cock.

The question beeing, is telepathy empathy or just communication?

If it is communication, broadcasting it would be the equivalent of running around in circles screaming: "oh, the pain! The pain!", not that usefull.

Then again, a ship broadcasting extreme Hi'in suffering could maybe be used as bait.

No matter what, we really should find us a Hi'in specimen to experiment on as soon as possible, in order to determine if pain causes any readable output.

On a purely scientific basis of course.

Can you concentrate on fighting a war if whenever you come close to the enemy, some filthy hobo grabs on to you screaming about the pain in his urethra?

:D

We could also bombard their minds with the worst of Phyrry Rap-Techno-Classic fusion!

Telepathy means once we figure out how to beam illegal cyber-porn starring bio-modded denizens of our outer fringes straight into their minds (including but not limited to multiheaded dicks as well as the infamous sextuple-breasted whores of Erotixia 9), it's our win, one way or another.

Oh yeah.

The Barbarian honestly doesn't like such lopsided votes. It means he did not offer a compelling choice. Boo!

An update is forthcoming (within the next four hours, or so).
