Next it will be announced :hmmm: that "Fallout 4" will be a MMO...

Im fine with it if they get Obsidian to make Fallout 4 single player spin off.

They are not going to. Chris Avellone has given indications that Bethesda are working on Fallout 4 themselves.

It'll either have as much to do with TES as FO3 had with Fallout or be horribly unbalanced. Butthurt will flow either way.

Not to mention that one year dev cycle sounds totally realistic. Looking forward to 2013 to bring lots of lulz.

Creating an MMO based on TES is an idea that simply can not fail. ( at least commercially. )

100-vs-100 battles with siege weapons and shit does sound good. Could this be the game to finally break the MMO moul- sorry I can't even finish that sentence. Sigh.

EDIT: Jesus Christ, Mannimarco confirmed for raid boss. Just because he's a lich doesn't mean you need to keep reviving him and fucking him up again and again

EDIT 2: "The Nords, Dunmer and Argonians have forged THE EBONHEART PACT out of necessity"
Why is this even a TES game? That's like making a WW2 FPS about Poland and Germany teaming up to conquer Japan.

EDIT 3: "The WoW-style mechanics Zenimax Online is using for this MMO"
There we go

Outdated combat mechanics? Check.
Silly attempt at massive PvP battles? Check.

Oh, praising the guy at the helm might not be the best idea, considering how Mythic (creators of DAoC) also brought us the turd that is Warhammer Online. They're supposedly good at crafting PvP games, but failed miserably with WO. Plus, whenever devs try to go for these gimmicky AoE spamfests/zergs that they call massive PvP, it usually results in unplayable lag, terrible balance and the dullest grinding shit. Unsurprisingly, the only people that end up enjoying these types of scenarios are those who either play ranged classes or love brainless button mashing.

Fuck, give me UO's PvP, not this fucking shit.

Looking at the geoscape...
From what little info there is, this looks like it will have less features than most MMOs 10 or even 15 years ago. Now sometimes less is more, less properly implemented can be challenging and engaging, but since anything Elder Scrolls related already starts with less to begin with... I don't know, it will sell of course, and most codexers, being closet console popamolers that they are, will jump right in.

It doesn't look as dumb as I thought it would, although those cartoonish golems are lame.

As an Elder Scrolls fiend who completed every last quest in Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, I look forward to this, as long as there is not too much unbelievable stuff in it.

They really should have made something more like Mortal Online rather than shitty WoW clone #115.

the daedric prince Molag Bal tries to pull all of Tamriel into his demonic realm.

Wait, isn't Molag Bal the Deadric Prince of Rape?
:mhd:
"Then Vivec left the capital of Veloth and wandered far into the ash. He found a span of badlands to practice his giant-form. He made of his feet a less dense material than the divine to keep from falling waist-deep into the earth. At this point the First Corner of the House of Troubles, the Prince Molag Bal, made his presence known.
Vivec looked on the King of Rape and said:
'How very beautiful you are, that you do not join us.'
And Molag Bal crushed the warrior-poet's feet, which were not invulnerable, and had legions cleave them off. Mighty fires from the Beginning Place were brought like nets to hold Vivec and he let them.
'I would prefer,' he said, 'some kind of ceremony if we are to be married.'
And the legions that took the feet were summoned again and ordered to begin a banquet. Pomegranates sprang from the badlands and tents were raised. A throng of Velothi mystics came, reading the passages of the severed feet on the ground and weeping until the scriptures were wet.
'We must love each other briefly,' Vivec said, 'if at all. I am needed to counsel the Hortator in more important matters because the Dwemeri high priests stir up trouble. You may have my head for an hour.'
Molag Bal rose up and extended six arms to show his worth. They were decorated in runes of seduction and its reverse. They were decorated in the annotated calendars of longer worlds. When he spoke, mating monsters fell out.
'Where must it go?' he said.
'I told you,' Vivec said, 'I am meant to be the teacher of the king of the earth. AE ALTADOON GHARTOK PADHOME.'
With these magic words, the King of Rape added another: 'CHIM,' which is the secret syllable of royalty.
Vivec had what he needed from the Daedroth and so married him that day. In the hour that Bal had his head, the King of Rape asked for proof of love.
Vivec spoke two poems to show him such, but only the first is known:
I'm not sure just how much glass it took to make your hair
Twice as much, I am sure, as the oceans have to share
Hell, my sweet, is a fiction written by those who tell the truth
My mouth is skilled at lying and its alibi a tooth

The sons and daughters of Vivec and Molag Bal number in the thousands. The name of the mightiest is a string of power: GULGA MOR JIL HYAET AE HOOM.

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI."

3 PC factions in an MMO is a step forward, everything else....

From what? EVE has 4 main playable factions. All of them are involved in Factional Warfare. You have also pirate factions. And, of course, you have tons of player factions, although there are 5-6 biggest powerblocks.

So I don't see how 3 factions is a step forward.

Someone should photoshop MS Office Staple Assistant with TES Quest Compass.

True, its a step back to where DaoC was, what, a decade ago?
