I know it can seem hard to believe, but unless Sherry regularly jetsets between Canada and Europe, they're not the same person.
:negative:
Please tell me it is Greek and not a glorious Bulgar! I won't accept that there is Bulgars that play that pseudo hockey thing! Maybe TemplarGR 's sister or alter ego???

Omg, Disney inspired Outer Worlds!!! First Kylo/Felix now Parvati, can't even!

LOL, the discussion under Gail Simone's retweet (March 5) is glorious.
Well don't fucking give us the tweet whatever you do
That twitter feed is a regular dumpster fire, so I wouldn't worry about it.
I mean that's fine, but then why fucking mention the tweet at all, it's a fucking useless post

"HAHA LOOK AT THIS FUNNY THING THAT YOU CAN'T SEE LOL"

Maybe you are right and I shouldn't have posted anything. I am not sure I want to post it here. But you can go to Kennedy's twitter page, and will see the tweet with Gail Simone on March 5th, with a discussion about eyecandy in entertainment.

Yikes...

Ok, maybe waiting one year won't be so hard after all.

Finally got around to watching this shit. That was rather... painful.

The people going on about how Obsidian games "were never about the combat, and even if the combat sucks it'll be fine" are missing the point that the combat could end up being the best thing about it (although that already happened to a Obsidian game: Dungeon Siege III, but only because the game overall really sucked) and it will likely end up sucking in the story and writing department too:

They have three Valleygirl-types with nasal vocal fry as main writers and according to that video all of it will be "Look at how meme-y and referential we are, haha remember Futurama and Rick & Morty? Wasn't that fun? Didn't we humor good there, Reddit? HAHA, BIG FACES!"

KOTOR 2 (Chris Avellone, Ferret Baudoin, Michael Chu, Tony Evans, Dave Maldonado); MOTB (George Ziets); New Vegas (John Gonzalez, Chris Avellone, Eric Fenstermaker, Travis Stout and various others) or even "Fallout 2" writing this won't be. Not even Alpha Protocol (Chris Avellone, Matt MacLean, Brian Mitsoda, Travis Stout) or South Park: The Stick of Truth (Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Eric Fenstermaker). The main thing Obsidian is usually praised and known for is going to be vastly different in this game. Even if their art department is half-way competent and does a good job, they're not going to be able to turn the tide if the writing sucks.

Characters also confirmed boring/unappealing and lifeless like I predicted, there's nothing unique about them and it looks like they were cobbled together with the same NPC creator making all the other characters in the game (Their faces also look unmoving and emotionless - hey aren't you trying to tell a "joke", why do you look like a robot?). It's sad that some humble porn merchants from the UK can make more interesting looking and expressive characters in an UE4-based gif than the entirety of Obsidian nowadays, once regarded highly for their ability to tell a story and create memorable characters.

Also holy shit, Infinitron why don't you get a job as a PR shill at Obsidian already?

lul that 14 year old boy in the middle pretending to be a girl.

Translation from Yiddish: the checks stopped coming.

No, the translation is "I'm making up new words to describe rabid shilling."

Upbeat neutrality. lolwut.

Is that the same thing you do when telling us how suddenly it's so awesome to be bought out by Microsoft and anything they do is great and good for us? Hey, they bought Obsidian and inXile to remake Troika! Upbeat neutrality. :kingcomrade:

If it's bad, it's because of Boyarsky. He's been giving the writers more direction than they're used to (e.g. forcing Starks to watch Brazil to get the tone they're going for)

Does anyone know (roughly) how much of Numanuma is on Zeits?

He was in charge of the Bloom.

Please come back, George, all is forgiven. :negative:

Ziets was responsible for Bloom, location considered by most of the people to be the best part of the game.

Interestingly, Brazil is Terry Gilliam's movie, of Monty Python fame. And we all here know how much of Monty Python has found its way in Fallout.

The movie iitself is sth like a cross of 1984 with black comedy. I like it a lot.

Boomer/Gen X humor that appears to have fallen out of favor with many younger Millennials and Zoomers. (What was probably) Robert Land kept that torch going in Tyranny though.

Roguey they’ve released one other game since Tyranny (have you played Deadfire yet?), so it’s a little premature to say anything has gone in or out of style. If there are no Monty Python references in Deadfire—not sure if that’s even the case—it’s probably because Sawyer is fucking sick of reading them.

Also, I’d hardly compare a low effort “huge tracts of land” joke with “watch Brazil to understand the tone of this game before you write anything.”

It's not just Obsidian, it's a personal observation. The internet and nerd culture in general used to be full of Python references.

Yeah, it got stale like twenty years ago. Doubt it’s a generational thing—more like this stuff got overused and became played out. There’s only so many times you can hear someone recite the entire script of Holy Grail or Life of Brian before it stops being funny and starts being insanely irritating.

Peak Python was probably 2005 when Eric Idle’s Spamalot musical won a bunch of Tony awards and the universe said, “enough!”
