Now Jane? This is all too much. She can wait anyway. Emo chick games aren't my cup of tea and I'm sure there's enough girl gamers to fund her project anyway.
Tex Murphy or death for me.

We would love to do Gabriel Knight in the near future. Because that IP does not belong to us, it's not a given. Having our own studio, and successfully shipping a title, will make obtaining the rights more likely than ever before.
Just created a separate thread at SA for Jensen's Kickstarter. So far the replies have been mixed ("old adventure games suck", "Sierra adventure games suck", "Gray Matter sucks" -- which I can even kinda agree with, "Gabriel Knight 3 sucks", etc., but a few positive ones as well).
Buying the rights, probably not going to happen. Big companies tend to be loathe to part with their properties, even if they have no plans to use them. Getting a license to make a sequel? That seems more possible.I'm *hoping* Jane get's enough money to possibly buy the rights to GK to do more GK series. THAT WOULD BE FUCKING AWESOME. Though I have no idea how complicated or how expensive that would be to buy it from Activision, AND if they would even sell it.
I'm backing this as well. The Moebeus game sound AWESOME <3

Jane Jensen is releasing her very own Kickstarter! I didn't read what kind of game she's doing (except you get 1 of 3 choices) but her daughter is hot.

He was the lead artist on Curse of Monkey Island, and his company created the game Vampyre Story, which I never played. What did he do Adventure Game wise that was.... noteworthy. The Dig is however fucking pure awesome.

If you like Action/Tactical RPG games or most of the games that are sold today AND you have never played a classic point-and-click adventure game, you probably - I say PROBABLY - won't like this game. But for those of us who love (and still play) games like Obsidian, Grim Fandango, Blade Runner, and the Myst/Riven/Uru series of games, this one is one more to add to the stack of adventure games that are FUN. (Okay - some of the jokes ARE lame and Mona's voice IS like fingernails on a blackboard, but this is a great game nonetheless.)
