Only thing I might buy from GoG is Temple of Elemental Evil for $4. The other D&D titles I'll hold out for 50% off which I'm sure they'll eventually do even if you have to buy all of them in a pack.

I just got this. I've been in the mood for some good RPG combat. I also got Septerra Core because I'm going to be traveling soon and I'm sure my shitty laptop can run it. I remember playing it years ago and having some fun with it, and it was only two bucks.

Realms of Arkania 1 + 2 going on for 3 bucks on GoG. Should I? Never played them before. I heard you need to have a manual in hand to play the game since nothing is really explained in-game, so that has turned me off, but even if it's true I might be willing to give it a chance for that cheap price.

Never played them myself but as far as pricing goes GoG never goes lower than 50% off so it is definitely the cheapest you will find it.

Ugh.
Doing a quick once over on GoG there is $79 worth of crap I'd kinda like to pick up. Almost all of it games I already own. Going to resist, but it'd be nice to have GoG installers for a bunch of 'em. My limited experience with the few freebies they've put up is quite nice.

Hurf, though I just noticed this about NWN. http://www.gog.com/en/support/neverwint ... ts_diamond

Yeah, like I said, I'm just going to get Elemental Evil and leave the rest for another day seeing as how the discount isn't anything amazing and I'd rather save the bulk of my cash for the Steam sale. And yes, they do add some nice extras to their games like the soundtracks, wallpapers, and such.

Played around Zombie Driver a bit -- the new modes made it go from suspect purchase to terrific indie gem. The city looks amazing and the physics are great, it really needed a survival/slaughter mode to complete it rather than just the short single player missions. It would be amazing if they added a free-roam mode of the city. I mean, they already have the thing programmed they'd just have to add random events or what-not. I'd even pay a couple of bucks for that as a DLC.

Also, apparently people have been looking into the Steam registry to find upcoming packs for the Holiday sale. Take it with a grain of salt:

Indie Smart pack- (Lumines, Droplitz, Puzzle Agent, Quantz)

2D pack- (Bullet Candy, Geometry Wars, Super Laser Racer, VVVVVV, Galcon Fusion)

Heavy Hitters- (Audio Surf, Shattered Horizon, World of Goo, Zeno Clash)

Fright Pack- (The Path, Zombie Driver, Scourge Project, The Void, Burn Zombie Burn)

Fantasy Pack- (Spectromancer, Fairie Solitaire, Fortix, Bob Came in Pieces, NyxQuest)

Flight Pack- (Every Day Shooter, Gratuitious Space Battles, Dogfighter, Flotilla, Guns of Icarus)

Adventure Pack- (Gish, And Yet It Moves, Mr Robot, Samarost, Jolly Roger)

Kids Pack- (Toki Tori, Crayon Physics, Secret of Magic Crystal, Max & Magic Marker, Delve Deeper)

Beat Pack- (Rhythm Zone, Beat Hazard, Turba, Chime, Bit Trip Beat)

Future Pack- (Uplink, Twin Sector, Hammerfight, System Protocol, Hacker Evolution)

Brain Pack- (Big Brain Wolf, Windowsill, Zen Bound 2, Diamond Dan, Puzzle Bots)

Mix Pack- (Darwinia, Defcon, Cogs, Eufloria, Plain Sight)

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU I just bought Zombie Driver! And one more I can't believe:

Indie Potato Pack- Amnesia, Bit Trip, Toki Tori, Red Orchestra, Killing Floor, Darkest Hour, Audio Surf, Wonderful End of the world, Defense Grid, AAAAA, Ball, Cogs, Braid, Super Meat Boy

I'm going to shit a brick if Super Meat Boy is in a fucking bundle already. And Amnesia. Just bought both of those fuckers, and SMB developer swore up and down there wouldn't be sales soon after the preorder price. Valve already has too much of my potato.

Unfortunately I look at those packs and see a bunch of games I already own, with a smattering of games I don't and kinda want. Gaben you evil bastard. Also, what the hell is Delve Deeper doing in Kids Pack?

More Christmas spoilers, the Christmas sale is starting on the 20th and ends on the 3rd, and during the first day of the sale the Oddboxx will be released on Steam and 50% off.

Oddboxx contains Abe's Oddysee, Abe's Exoddus, Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath.

Ended up spending around 7.50 USD during the length of the contest. I enjoyed all of them for what they are, especially Shatter, although I'd kick myself for having missed on Chime.

Christmas sale is mostly up and running. Will take a while to dig around in the discounted games, but my impression thus far is not as good of a sale as last year. But with two weeks of daily deals there will be some good ones.

Case in point, today they have Super Meat Boy for $3 (GOD DAMN IT I BOUGHT IT FOR TEN WHOLE DOLLARS SHIT), and Bad Company 2 for $7. Also complete Fear pack with the two games and all expansions/DLC for $10.

My head just exploded. All of the indie packs are available now apparently. The 'Heavy Hitter' includes Braid, Osmos, Shattered Horizon, Trine, Maw, World of Goo, and Audio Surf but without a discount. If that's $5 then holy shit.

Probably going to get the Indie Fright and Beat pack and Super Meat Boy out of the dailies.

Come on Paradox, get in with the holiday giving spirit. I know you could slash 50% off the overpriced expansion pack for EU3, I sure know you can.

WARNING: Be careful buying non-daily deals. They could be listed as one of the dailies later on at a bigger discount. Of course, something like Winterbottom at $0.50 is safe to buy (and I highly recommend it) but stuff floating around 50% off or so could get reduced even more.

Yeah, just check back later. Thousands of people are rushing the store like the games are in limited quantity or something.

Think my first day on the sale I'll grab:

Fear complete pack
Geometry Wars (Already own all the other games in the bundle, and I can buy just this one for $2)
Sid Meier's Railroads
Indie Fantasy Bundle (Mostly for Spectromancer since I enjoy computer card games like that most of the time)
Everyday Genius Squarelogic
Shattered Union
Civ City Rome

Since my most expensive non-daily non-pack game is $2.50 I'll assume this is a fairly safe buy.

The other games in that bundle are pretty solid, too. I'd probably get it if I didn't already own Faerie Solitaire and Nyxquest. And yeah people are really raging over Super Meat Boy.

Seconding VVVVVV, it's a great game. The Commodore font alone makes it worth it. And the soundtrack..!

I'm stuck in the ultrahard room to get the shiny: where you fly several screens up and down amidsts spiked corridors..

Was tempted to get the Oddbox but then I saw it will be available at other places. I'll probably wait for a similar discount on Gamersgate. Now maybe I'll get Super Meat Boy.

I already have the first two Oddworlds. Are the other two actually worth bothering with?
