The daily deals are gone because of the refund policy. It would be easy to ask for a refund for a game you bought with a 50% discount if you see it the next day with a 90% discount.
Is there even a reason to buy anything in the autumn sales when the winter sale is barely a month later ?
Business wise they really don't.yeah, in times of so many good games, cheap bundles and resellers (many games are cheaper on reseller sites than during steam sales anyways) they have to come up with huge discounts.
lol Fallout 4 is even more expensive there than it is here.Yesterday they introduced some changes in the store and accepted my local currency. Most of the publishers took the cheaper value for one dollar, but AAA companies, like Squeenix, Bethesda or Activision, took the most expensive one (not that it would be any other way with them). But the really shitty thing is that they removed paypal as a payment option, fuck that.

The percentage discounts have rarely differed. Might not be the case with the new flat discount system but, meh. If I see something at a price that's good I'll just grab it versus waiting a month to see if it goes 5% cheaper. Is there even a reason to buy anything in the autumn sales when the winter sale is barely a month later ?

No daily deals and/or flash sales this time. Or maybe no more ever?
Easier this way, just have to visit steam once during the sale period to see if anything I want is on sale. Doesn't sound like the best way to run a store though, typically you want customers to visit often,Has this been linked already?
