Pretty weak sale. The only thing I've got my eye on is Serpent in the Staglands. What's the consensus? Worth 7,39€?

My thoughts from way back when:
Well, I finished the game but I have a feeling that I missed a lot of stuff. I'm awful at writing impressions, but whatver the fuck, here they are:

What I liked:
The atmosphere was great and I loved the pixel graphics. The setting was also interesting, with it's eastern European influences. It was cool that spells could be used outside of combat to progress the game and solve some puzzles. The ending was great. I won't talk about it here, but I didn't fight who I thought I was going to fight. I played a fairly dickish character, and how it came back to show that to me in the last moments of the game was great. I hadn't really cared much about the story, but those moments were worth a lot and I have to give two thumbs up to the devs. I like that the story isn't about saving the world and stuff like that. In general, the writing was solid when it was there, but there are still spelling errors. It doesn't look so good when there are some in the last conversation of the game. I liked that the combat actions weren't super fast paced, even if most encounters were over fairly quickly. The loot you find is boring early on but you find some cool stuff as you go. I ended up with armors from blacksmith as they seemed to be the best the game had to offer. Not a lot of micromanaging was needed. And lastly, the exploration was a lot of fun. Having to find your next destination on your own and figure shit out is fun but...

What I didn't like:
...I'm actually not a super big fan of the journal. I don't want shit spelled out to me or have me pointed in the right direction, as the exploration was one of the best aspects of the game. On the other hand, there could have been small entries like: Find this character or that character, and stuff like that. I played the game in windowed mode and had Wordpad opened, so it isn't a huge deal. When it comes to difficulty, I think the game was a bit on the easy side, a lot of the time. I had trouble with a bounty and I never could figure out a way to stay alive when crawlers were around. Other than that, when you get some decent gear (and later on very good gear) most of the game becomes a cakewalk. Healing and physical shield, plus knockdowns got me a long way. I wish there was more writing. I guess the journals, letters and other things like that you find on your journey were well written. Companions barely had anything to say.

I personally rate Pillars of Eternity a little higher, but not by much. I played both games fairly similarly in combat. Both have their strengths and weaknesses, so I am happy that both exist and that I played these two games in the same year.

Looking at Satellite Reign made curious why no one made a cyberpunk game like Syndicate, but with turn-based combat. Would have died on my chair while playing this game, and regret nothing.

Fewer, not less.

I'm wondering if they just rewrote the description from Mobygames: http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/redneck-rampage-possum-bayou

Redneck Rampage: Possum Bayou is a "sampler" of the game Redneck Rampage with less levels. It is more than a demo, but less than the full game with only 7 levels of Redneck mayhem.

Different types of weapons exist including crowbars, dynamite, shotguns, electric saw, bowling ball, and others.

Can someone help me with these Arc System Works fighting games? :negative:

Which ones to buy? Is there such thing as one definitive Guilty Gear and one definitive BlazBlue? I just want one of each, if possible. Any recommendation of the other standalone ones that are also good are welcome.
Latest GG is perfect (Xrd Revelator), BlazBlue is for weebs who like VNs. If you want to get into silly VNs (which I doubt), play the first BB, and make your way up.

If it hasn't been mentioned yet, let me shill for Tormentum. It's an indie adventure game made by some Poles. Very distinct art style. Don't be fooled though, it's not as pretentious as it may seem. Pretty short but you should play it at least twice to see everything.

So far I've bought Codex of Victory, but I refunded it almost immediately. The idea was quite good, but it's the kind of game that demands autistic perfection from each turn or you'll get wrecked, run out of resources and then lose the game. I'm not really in the mood for playing a game that feels like you have to guess the most optimal strategy that the developers intended you to do or you lose.

Art style and music are nice, puzzles are ok, but everything else is not so much. There are better adventures out there.

The art of AOT is so fucking bad.
It's basically just the epitome of your average shounen shit anime, but some people think it's special because it has so much gore.

Couldn't stomach the main protagonist, the dude is more insufferable than Evangelion's Shinji, and that's saying a lot.

Really? I thought it was similar to their very good Fantasy Wars/Elven Legacy games. They too required pretty precise planning in order to try and maximise reward in fewest turns to get the gold rating. You also were not expected to aim for every secondary goal as you'd run out of time. Same system as Panzer General.
If you only played an hour or so you couldn't have done more than an intro mission or two so if you couldn't even do those it's a fault of you and not the game.

Git gud faggit.

Alternatively find a game with an awesome button that lets you win each mission with minimum of ease.

There is a sweet spot between too easy and autism. Try playing X-COM to see how to properly balance a game like this.

I briefly read the manga after all the praise, don't have patience to watch animu. Of course the main character turns out to have special powers and saves the day. I don't know what I expected.

after awhile is shits out enemy invasions at a rate that simply keeping with the timers is dificult and you need to lose ground anr reqonquer it
on a plus side this gives you lotsa money and other shit to pimp out your base
on the bad side its so ubelivabe fucking tedious to do x map for a thousandth time with exact same winning strategy against exact same enemy comp and tactic ...

it couldve beed good but alas its just medicore at best - maybe if they do expansion/rebalance stuff [ and i so love that i started on easy - bulshit wouldve made me ragequit before 2hrs mark ]
