It seems to be that way. I don't think they even really wnat to do NWN expansions either. They basically stated in a chat a couple days ago that HOTU will have to sell REALLY well for them to bother doing another one.

Ok then, that together with the poor reception of D&D heroes might aswell mean that D&D future in videogames may not be very bright.

Yeah,, just look at the example of GTA that sold millions in every system available, with a teen rating...er wait http://www.esrb.org/search_results.asp? ... &type=game

It`s a Mature rated game....

So it can`t be because of sales right?...

Although the Matrue rating is more akin to the R rating of movies, it seems to carry with it the same "mojo" of an NC-17 movie. Some retailers just won't carry M rated games. Having a Teen rating quite simply increases the number of people you can sell your game too, nevermind that it decreases some peoples interest in the game as well.

I wish Bio would take it a step further and not make any more games at all whatsoever.

Anyways, the odds of HotU not selling like hotcakes are slim to nil.

If their in house RPG turns out to be a good seller i'd imagine they'll stop using D&D altogether except for perhaps an NWN sequel.

Tell that to Hasbro/WOTC. Bioware had to take down the Witch's Wake series because WOTC didnt like the witches/evil themes in it.

Don't forget that they also messed up the release for Gothic 2.

They released their budget title, Hero-X, without telling anyone and never patched it.
