Yo

Which is a better game? Since I got a bit confuzzled about the silent storm release date I ordered toee, which is coming to me on Friday. s2 gets here on the Monday, so one game either way will get ignored. So I've decided to put one away until a rainy day or something, but which?

What would you choose?

Well, personally I'd wait till the patch comes for TOEE before playing it, you will (hopefully) have a much better experience with the game once it has been patched.

They got a couple of days left to get that patch out before the end of October. Hopefuly it will fix more problems than it causes.

hey

TOEE is really buggy, but if you play DnD and enjoy it then you will love the game. If you don't play DnD like me, you will have to read the manual alot and study like for a test.

Silent Storm doesn't require experience with an out of game rule system, like DnD. So if you like DnD get TOEE, and if you dont get the other.

They said the patch would be out in october for TOEE, and its like the 28 now GOODLUCK ATARI.

ToEE is fine to play as is, even in the unpolished state it's a much better game then anything else on the market. I didn't try SS, so can't really compare the two, but you can definitely play and enjoy ToEE right now, the Co8 patch solves most problems, so if you got it give it a try

I think I'll go for toee because I have nothing else to do over the weekend, and save Silent Storm for a rainy day? Something like that anyway, if toee doesn't meet expectations I'll hide it somewhere and play s2?

Matters which gets delivered first I suppose, I'm pretty bored.

Flip a coin, then play ToEE now and finish it in the fairly short time that takes and then spend like two years beating Silent Storm since if the demo is any indication, it'll be a fscking long game, especially with two campaigns.

Well, Bri, you are acting exactly how I thought you would react. What else can one expect from a hardcore Fallout fan.

You don't have to be psychic to predict the behavior of a hardcore Fallout fan.

I thought you said hadcore Fallout fans equated to nazi's, or taliban? Briosafreak is one of the most level people on the BIS boards. Here you go again being hypocrtical. Perhaps as most moderates do, you have bought into the propaganda machine and just believe everything you hear.

Oh BTW, don't expect too many FO fans to be nice to you, considering you have already ripped them on at least two boards.

Allow me to digress.

ToEE is a blast, but I've got to go with SS on this one. I prefer the WWII setting over DnD, and I abosultely love the combat. I also prefer guns over swords, axes and crossbows, but these are really just my personal preference. To me, it's all about the setting. Both games are fantastic (at least the SS demo...) so I'd say to go with your prefered genre: fantasy or war.

Hey, Dark Underlord, remember what you said about the Visceris thread getting a part 2?

Well, here we are in a completely different thread, talking about Visceris...

Dark Undies is psychic!

Oh, this is all too funny. Brios just made my day. I wish I had more time to spend on the boards these days, but for now I'll just have to lurk when I get a chance and relate to Han coming out of the carbon freeze...

Sometimes you guys are just dumbases. And I mean that in the friendliest way possible <@) (clown hat, curly hair, smiley face).

for folks in the US (like me) :

gogamer.com is currently taking pre-orders for a silent storm import that will ship Nov. 11th. Also on the nival forums a bunch of people have mentioned importing it from a UK store that is supposed to be shipping today or something like that.

Also I saw someone mention Silent Storm 2, there is no Silent Storm 2 (not yet). Rather people refer to Silent Storm as S2 (S to the power of 2, or SS).

Go to nival.com forums for more info.
