Jokes aside, the earliest exemple of that sort of shot (head coming out of the water) I know of is from the 1962 horror classic Carnival of Souls.

Great marketing school. Even if you have to explain something as popamole, well known, stolen from games before yours, always present it as something innovative and super important - can always count there will be a few fools which will actually be impressed.

And for everyone else: :kingcomrade:

Wow, that's some resilience after a direct penetration of the skull.

But fuck realism, that sort of scenes make up for the lack of it.

Action parts are vastly improved but the AI remains shit. Also no platforming or puzzle solving. It looks like another corridor shooter.

What happened to "explore the open world island" thing they were saying at one point?

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.

"It has RPG elements." said the reviewer.

Seriously, TR was always about exploration and puzzles, and right now it's just Lara on killing spree. Graphically it looks nice, but the linearity of the gameplay is so visible...

It could be such a good game if done right. 80% of "gameplay" is cutscenes and QTEs, it's even worse than I though. Also, every moment requiring quick reflexes is in slowmo... really? Just look at the molotov thrown at her right at the start of the video... I bet middle game she'll find some old wizard saying "You're the ONE, Lara".

My God... this GIF raised my interest from “don't care”, to “maybe will buy at 10$, if not a total trainwreck”. I am such a sad person :(
