Never played it but as it didn't share the same artstyle, wasn't even based on the Planescape setting due to licensing issues and went out as a big 'meh' bordering nothingburger. Maybe doing something somewhere near PS:T would've required taking some healthy distance from it to make it at least, memorable.
it's a real bummer that people are modding BG3 even though that game is basically good but nobody can finish Numenera, which seriously needed one or two more hubs in the third act

Good but not perfect, and moddable, thus modded. Also woke as hell, which thankfully most of that can be modded out.

Many who have played PS:T wouldn't want to finish something basically made after its shadow. And those who didn't and would rather to get to the "original" instead.
