Ah, but she's 17, she just looks loli because she stopped growing at a very young age due to magical experiments or something.

B-but her mom looked perfectly normal?!!

And how can a homunculus have a baby in the first place? HOW DOES THIS STUFF EVEN WORK?
I'm not sure but wasn't her mother made do generate her since they couldn't do it in the old fashioned way?

As you may already know, almost all important and not released in USA/Europe Japanese games from NES/GameGear/SNES/Genesis era are now probably already fan-translated.
Not at all. Lots of easy games have been translated. Up till recently the freaking Fire Emblem game weren't even translated, and those were made by Nintendo. Megami Tensei (3rd most popular RPG series in Japan back then) still hasn't been translated or its sequel. You can't even say SNES translation has begun without Romancing Saga 1-3.

Do I sense some butthurt? Or did you miss a word "almost" in my sentence?

Initially this thread was made to inform people about translations of games from post Snes/SMD era.
Of course, not long after that, it turned into PC hentai VN - fest, but that was totally expected.

There are still some snes games desperate in need of translation. I'm still waiting for some damn weaboo to translate Hyper Iria. It's a nice super metroid-like platformer, but it's rather text heavy.

Marvelous: Another Treasure Island . An adventure RPG that seems rather wacky, kind of like a mix of Earthbound and zelda.

Another totally wacky jrpg : Maka Maka

It's the first time an Elminage is going to make it overseas! why would anyone sane try to bring that to the west where the PSP has been dead far longer than in the east?

http://www.siliconera.com/2012/10/05/psp-dungeon-crawler-elminage-original-heading-overseas/

It's pretty wizardryish though I heard it was more sandboxy/more customizable/open ended, there are multiple dungeons instead of just one for instance though the information about these games is really scarce. I would've loved to hear this back when I was more into dungeon crawlers but might give it a spin nonetheless, after all the art is awesome and I've always wanted to try an Elminage myself.

Still 16 classes and 12 races sounds fine enough.

Windenyo got translated.

What?

Is a widescreen remake of an old Alicesoft game. This one has NO PORN.
It has been translated by the group that is working on Rance 3, 5D and 6.
For what I've seen so far the game is about a ''walking'' castle in an eternal dungeon (unlimited levels aparently). Enemies aproach towards your castle and you have to use your heroes to stop them.
Inside the castle you can summon heroes of different Alicesoft games. Yes, the HERO is in.

You will need the patched Alicesoft 2010 pack to play it, so if you want to try Rance 02 you can try this one too.

I will explain more once I've played more.

http://anonscanlations.blogspot.com.ar/search/label/dangan ronpa

Dangan Ronpa is being translated by this guy at a very slow pace.

"Ace Attorney" meets "Nine hours, nine persons, nine doors" meets a rythm game. Sort of a VN but way more interactive. Couple of students locked in a school, the only way to get out is to kill one student and not getting caught during the trial where the judges are your other schoolmates and this teddy bear robot who apparently planned the whole locking-up to begin with.
PSP game though. But it seems to be perfectly emulated in JPCSP.

It seems there is a project to translate Princess Maker 2 Refine. It's very early as they are only dumping the script, but it's about time someone decided to do it!

I'm actually interested in that. It was one of Masato Kato's (one of the lead writers on Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and Xenogears -- but not any of the Xenosaga games as far as I'm aware, which is probably why it sucked) earliest games that he actually wrote for, so I'm curious to see how it turned out.

As far as I know it's mostly the baby of Takami Akai, one of the Gainax co-founders. But I didn't know Kato worked on it. Interesting. In any event it's rather easy to track the old English beta and play it in DOSBox but the Refine version looks and sounds so good …

I think I might've actually played that English beta like... a decade ago, now that I think about. In true Codex fashion, the only thing I really remember about it was that if you lose to some sort of bandit boss you get raped. I wonder if that's kept in the Refined version.

I think so. I played it mostly when it came out, still remembering how some stuff plays out but it wasn't ideal, and it seems the very little bits of nudity were not covered like they were in the English beta.

http://spriters-resource.com/pc_computer/pm2refine/ should contain most (if not all) sprites of the game so you can check for yourself, and the image where she lies unconscious with her shirt open is still there.

Nope. Anyone know if it is het or yuri?

It seems Fire Emblem 12's patch is almost finished, expected before the end of the year baring serious issues.

http://www.heroesofshadow.net/

The Fire Emblem fanbase is really dang efficient with translation patches. 1 and a half years is REALLY good for a text heavy game.
