This threads needs honesty to be fun, so that's precisely what I'll do.

"Stats are a racket."

You are expected to put points into something you have no idea about, and most of the time are a waste.
You need a few playthroughs or looking up a guide to have any idea what you are doing but that's completely pointless since you exhaust all the content in just one.
And even if you did seeing how many "dump stats" are, that are completely pointless, you would understand the failure of the system in the first place, and leave a bad taste in your mouth.

While the ideal of PnP RPGs able to create any character is noble, it just doesn't work in computer RPGs.
Stick to classes at the start that developers explicitly designed around.

This is literally the worst Obsidian game I’ve played to date. That’s right, I even had more fun with Dungeon Siege 3 - at least it was a fun beat ‘em up, as opposed to this lifeless, uninspired husk. Disappointment, thy name is Pillars of Eternity.

After being unable to secure funding for future projects, Troika Games was forced to lay off their staff in late 2004 and later close their doors on February 24, 2005.
