Is kind of a silly thing to do, but you can always buy a copy and just play it emulated. Technically it would mean emulating the game isn't illegal as you own a copy, you support Vanillaware and you get a physical copy too even if just to show off.

I just found out you can use cheats on emulators and switch with homebrews to reset the timer of the demo and keep playing.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Honestly, do whatever you want. I'm buying, but not judging anyone who acquires the game by other means.

The last game I pirated was Dragon Age 2.

After that, I have had enough money to buy whatever I want.

Before that, it was a mix of buying and pirating.

Btw, I played the demo. Initial impression is so-so, until you reach the explorable areas of the world. As soon as you get to customize behavior, and toy around with your units, is when things get interesting.

Could be a GOTY candidate for me.

Edit: Lord of Riva I have the physical PS5 version pre-ordered.

On PS5, I am physical exclusive. I even imported Like A Dragon Gaiden, and Ace Apollo Trilogy.

So you can actually keep going after demo content? Or just do more things in the demo?

Be funny if they actually gave you the full game but with a timer. How big is the demo download?

Hm, apparently the Switch full game size is 3GB. So... maybe.

Didn't Octopath Traveller 2 basically do this, or at least more than half the game? You could easily just find the timer with cheat engine and freeze it.

Not sure, but I know that a few games have done it and it generally ends up with this result. I'd thought it was "generally known" to not be a good practice. At least if you care about your shit getting pirated anyway.

The Demo is close to 2 GB on Switch. Low key hoping you can play the full game, even if is very unlikely. I didn't thought that I would end up liking it so much, don't really want to wait to the 8th to keep playing.

it forces you to make final save after demo boss battle. time limit is not the only demo limit. you can explore central region freely tho. there is even lvl 38 battle.

I had a blast playing the demo, it's all I ever wanted. Not only does all what the OB games did right, it adds a gambit system on top of it. I'll play the switch version and buy the PS5 physical version down the line.

The only thing I dislike is the lack of loli characters, there's only NPCs and that shopkeeper, I want a loli unit.

The ogre battles always had late-game supernatural units like cherubs and such, you might still get a loli that way.

I also liked how broken the lich and the princess were, but I think this game is more balanced so there won't be anything similar.

I'm playing the demo and enjoying it, the auto-battles are less rng based than what I was expecting which was my biggest concern. I also like how you can explore the continent outside of battle and do extensive build testing if you want. Archers seem really exploitable though, having squads who just support with arrow fire looks really good based on one of the maps I fought. The writing is weird, the characters talk normally 80% of the time and then they'll throw in a line with overdone prose that looks like it was written by someone else. It's not a character trait, it happens with multiple characters.

The localization isn't very good, so that's why you feel some lines don't fit some characters, they say completely different things in the original Japanese dialogue.
