1. After Gildor Nightwalk (of Stillwater) tells you about the demons and how his companions would not have died had they just read the stone tablet, you are given the option to say "Such irony." This ends the conversation with him which seems odd to me. Is this how Troika intended it?
Already fixed, will be included in the next version.

2. After telling Cynthia Boggs that you will help her to escape from the Isle of Dispair you have the option to say the following: "Here's a pistol they gave me to give to you," but the pistol is not removed from your inventory or added to hers.
There was a complete mess with some lines. They mixed up items' names, so you would give her the headband instead of the pistol. Fixed.

4. This might be considered a balance issue, but I think Reanimators should be worth more than the pittance you can sell them for.
I guess, this was made to prevent you from getting rich by selling them. At any rate, I won't touch the balance.

When are you going to touch the balance btw?

I noticed you began to look into it here: http://rpgcodex.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=23803

I was wondering if you were actually considering making a separate "Balance" patch/project as well that would work in conjunction with your Bug-fixing patch? Concidering your desire/efforts to keep things "as Troika intended", I have high confidence that you (with the help of the Arcanum community) will excrete another marvelous jewel, should you take on such a task.

I won't say much now other than there will be a sister project to this one. That project will address some of the controversial fixes (like the disintegrate spell save, dialogues for familiars, etc), restore even more of the cut out content, and fix some balance related issues as well. But the UAP is the main project, so I won't start anything else until it shapes up.

It isn't a bug of much importance, but some guards in Tarant don't use weapons (Most seem to be near the entrance to the Boil) I think that's pretty weird.

Fantastic. Thanks.

On the topic of rebalancing/adding content; is it at all possible to make Throwing Knives stackable and act as the source of ammo for the Blade Launcher?

Its much simpler to assume that you twisted that fine steel tagger into a clock work device that automatically shapes the bullets inserted into the launcher to a blade.

- I joined Trogg by killing Wheeler but he turned hostile when ran out of the factory.

- When I got "Instigator of Orc Riots" reputation, lines 761 and 768 with Bates reappeared. Line 768 (maybe because of low reaction) is repeatable, each time giving you 500 gold.

- Innkeeper at The Bridesdale Inn, people in Wellington club, Stanton and his guards, paperboy near Appleby's, Appleby himself, half-elf near Thurston's fashion place, a man at Madam Lil's bar and member of thief Underground near Pettibone residence have 120-145 reaction when most Tarantians attack me because of -5, -15 reaction and maximum positive is 15.
Madam Lil, her girls and Nicholas give me -70-100 reaction for some reason - isn't there a mistake in calculations?

- Bates has Nice Suite in his inventory but doesn't wear it. He sleeps in standing state between his two beds.

- Human guards outside Bates' mansion do not always attack you when you killed Bates if you escaped without killing all guards on the second floor. (Or maybe there's another reason...)

- You can see W. Thomas Moreau's name in his description even if you didn't talk to him before.

- Killing Madam Toussaude after receiving her blessing doesn't result in cancelling the latter but instead you have her blessing and a curse at the same time.

It would open up interesting new avenues though if the Blade Launcher really did fire blades. For example you would not be able to carry nearly as much ammo (due to weight), but it would be retrievable. The ammo would also be massively more expensive.

Now some more errors:

In coversation with Raven before you accept the quest to take care of the Foresters:

- Raven says "you do not want to pay it," (referring to the price the spirits will take for any violence) but the text reads "you'd not want to pay it."

In conversation with the head Forester your closing line contains "you can always lie to... I mean rely on," I think this is too obvious, and that even a half wit would put two and two together. Perhaps it would be better to use a pun instead: "you can always relie on".

In conversation with Raven about her mothers vision:

- The option to talk about M'in Gorad reads as "There were other visions of the M'in Gorad." It should read "There were other visions of M'in Gorad."

- Near the end of that passage of dialogue, you say "Then I will the find the Dark Elves. To Tarant I shall go..." 'the' should be removed from before "find".

H.T. Parnell:

- The Genuine Stillwater Pelt does not display in the case.
- After selling the Pelt to him when asked about the pelt he still talks about it having been stolen.

I "corrected" the other penality icons...
Example:
screenpixlj0.png

I deleted the black pixel in the upper left corner in all the other .art used for the target (It was not an obligation for MSR penality but well...).

Here is the link of the new art files to be placed in the interface folder:

Where'd you get so many blades? They are quite rare.

If they are retrievable it is less of an issue.
It would require the player to carry a backup weapon, in case of swarms of enemies, but for most enemies, 2, 3, 4 shots with the blade launcher will take them down.

Of course this is all hypothetical and probably not possible to implement.

Thanks, I'll add it. You forgot to fix the range icon though. (I already did it myself.)

Don't go off topic on this one. There will be a separate thread once the projects starts.

But...

This is actually possible through scripting (once the weapon fires, it destroys a specific object (a throwing dagger) in a wielder's inventory and creates the same object in triggerer's inventory if a successful hit was made, and it's even possible that on miss it would create a dagger just around a wielder). It's actually an interesting idea, that would find some use for now useless throwing daggers.

You can teleport to Ogre Island, but a ship captain from Caladon will still be there. Would it be better to lock out teleporting to this location, like with T'sen-Ang and the Isle of Despair?

It won't make much sense, I'm afraid. You can teleport to Thanatos, and the Half Ogre Island is so near. Besides, both T'sen-Ang and the Isle of Despair have powerful magick to protect them, while the Half Ogre Island is just an isolated island.

It's possible to make the captain not appear on the island if you didn't board his ship in Caladon though.

A boat without a captain would be even more jarring.
It would raise questions of how it got there.

Yes, the ship is a part of the map and can't be turned off. I can only turn off the captain or disallow teleportation in this location, I'm afraid.

- There's an inconsistency with icons of Venom-Shielded Garment and Large Venom-Shielded Garment.

- Something's wrong with the Dagger of Pain (Captain's Quarters, Blackroot). It shows special button as if there should be spell attached but panel is empty.

- Wooden Crate doesn't disappear from docs if you use it to get in Farad's castle.

- You can choose line 38 with Augustine Farad many times if you said 149.

- You can not report Praetor that you killed prince Farad.

- An agent of Molochean hand attacked me in one of the taverns when I told him my story even though I have "Friend of Molochean hand" reputation.

Sorry, I changed the image but saved the original...

By the way, I was toying with the SpellList.mes lately.
I can't reproduce the Willpower save that you did with disintegrate.
How did you did it ?
I took some chickens, changed their willpower to 17 (20 is immunity), modified the spell to be Willpower based and casted it with scrolls.(PC was neutral)
At the end, there was some saves (the damage value reflected it) but every animal desintegrated nevertheless like the vanilla spell.
What's wrong with it ?

What's wrong with them specifically?

They shouldn't attack you. What line did you take?

Change "Resist: (stat_constitution @ -5)" to "Resist: (stat_willpower @ -5)". BTW, once you make a change in one of the critter tables (txt files in rules folder), you have to delete all your protos, so they would regenerate with changes in effect.

-Even after digging up Victor Misk's grave, the description still reads "A Freshly Filled Grave." Not sure if that's supposed to change necessarily, but there you go.

-In the conversation with Magnus' brother Bingham, there's a small typo in Magnus' dialogue. He says "help" at one point and it should be "helps"

First uses the icon of wool jacket, second - of heavy rags.

EDIT: n.6
EDIT2: Seems like I didn't get this reputation. But I definitely had Joachim's book and have chosen proper lines.

Thanks, I always forget this part, I will try that...

And a funny fact:
The 30000 of electrical damage are for the XP killing...
If you cast Flesh to Stone on a NPC (immunity to electrical damage) and then Disintegrate it, the NPC is destroyed with 0 electrical damage and you get 0 XP.

Could he have a different set of lines if you didn't hire him first?
There's no reason he shouldn't have stopped to take on water & fresh fruit etc and offer you a lift to Caladon (if you can pay).

p.s. sorry my website went down - forgot to renew it so it's lost unless I get lucky and the portal people don't take it instantly. I can host files in the future but you seems to have a swathe of more professional volunteers nowadays.
