They didn't just fix it because it wasn't a "bug." It was an excuse to nerf a frame. Their PR tactics are beyond transparent.

Chroma was mainly just a fun toy for veterans with lots of cash on hand to min-max, put expensive arcanes on, and fuck around for lulz. I never used Chroma seriously for farming or doing content. Once you've been playing long enough, you use all sorts of different frames just for variety, no matter what the content. I was just as likely to bring Zephyr as Chroma.

My guess is that the nature of content now with the new expansion(s) somehow caused them to want to nerf Chroma.

Well the bug they were referring to was one fixed back in last year's April, which involved the Vex Armor possibly making Chroma deal no damage at all (damage multiplied by zero, essentially). Same April note also mentions eventually changing how the Vex Armor buffs work anyway to not give a multiplicative bonus, just not a real priority at the time or in then foreseeable future.

Aside from that, the real impetus here was really just that the Eidolons have this thing where you at each stage shoot up one of their limb joints, which with Chroma could happen instantly (it doesn't take that much time anyway, most of the time is spent shooting down the shield on the Eidolon with operators). They mention that in the notes.

Surprise, surprise. Where there's smoke, there's fire.

I didn't go over the notes too well.
Yes, the limbs went down easy enough on the Eidolon... but it's not the only one anymore, they released 2 more now. It does seem like they went into the game, not to test for improvements, but to find out where players were having fun so they could quash it.

I have yet to see the new Eidolons and won't be able to for the better part of the week at least. :M

Details?
Not really anything special to it, you just have to kill huge numbers of those things (off-hand I'd say around 32 or so, minus any extra you need for gear and shit). The irony is that the rewards are primarily useful for killing those things faster. The biggest problem (the sheer number involved aside) is really just that the teralyst is the most boring fight with a side of extra busywork hassle of healing and feeding escort NPCs.

You smell that? That's the smell wailing trade chat kikes make as the arcane market crashes and burns.

Smells like victory.

The vast majority of Arcanes were and are (until this change) sold to non-hoarders by people who actually ran the raids. The "Jewish TC people" are largely a bogeyman people invented because the game's prices annoy them, which is understandable, since this is a F2P game. You know how I had more wealth than God to give away? That was almost all from autistic farming, and the occasional 75% off plat. Admittedly I was a baby whale, too, in the sense that I bought several of the Prime packs; I farmed the new frames anyway, though, then sold them during the new-frame rushes. Besides, pretty much all of my plat (and more) remotely obtained through real cash went to vanity items in the end, and vanity items were the main reason I bought Prime packs. I had a huge collection.

There are some people who buy low and sell high on the market, yeah, but they're rare. I'd rather kill myself than spend all day on TC dealing with retards.

The silver lining of trade in Warframe is that DE HATES warframe.market. There are a bunch of reasons for this that I won't get into.

LoR variants are light and easyish but fuck jv and whoever thought of this abomination as "fun" ...

i guess that person got promotion and is responsible for shitfest called eidolons on plainsofshit ...

magic shields and invincibility periods to lengthen artificialy fights galore ...

at least we get new shiny since warframe birthday is aproaching

And because Plains of Kazakhstan was "the best expansion ever and players love it" (TM), we get teased with the next open world addition: Venus SPACE Finland. Of all things. I am already freezing my ass off, and they want to tease me with even more cold. :hahano:

I swear I saw an indoor sauna in that footage.

i take it back, doing the three stuffylists in a row every night, once or twice a day, nets quite a lot of quill points. i maxed my rank in two weeks, built one of the best amps and should have enough leftover points to even buy a set of arcanes for it.

unrelated random question: i missed it, why are raids being removed?

Because nobody plays them and they are buggy as shit so it's not worth wasting time trying to maintain them for the <1% of playerbase.

pity.
the teralysts were an interesting concept but all the fights revolve around is acting random, jump around and mash 5 if caught in a bad spot hoping not to die. i wish blocking with melee was useful. and i want a shield and gun combo to go with it.

well with operator arcane giving HP you can take quite a lot before needing to press 5 again ... 1125 hp points gives you time aplenty ...

as for raids nobody [ no clans doin raids and no raid bus ] was playing them so they got axed - they went to the same place as dark sectors and will be "reworked"

dark sectors rework was so succesfull that what was teaset like almoast a year now as dark sectors redux will be aparently their own thing ... coz DE logic

and since amount of ppl playing and enjoying content is an indication of success now let me tell this : man i never wouldve guessed that shitty conclave is more popular than raidass and lesss bugged ... [ there was like more than a week not long ago when you couldnt even start conclave match coz of shitty spaghetti code ...]

but shinies shiniessssss gib me shieniezz and forum wariors defending their sieniez o deaath

i couldn't remember the old warframe, i hung around in beta just for a couple days, it was a terrible game with nothing to do and the most horrible pay to win structure, but damn, the combat seems much more "meaty", even the cheap shaky-cam helps.
crap, now i want that.

Maybe it's something that'll be acknowledged for Melee 3.0.
