Direct damage force powers aren't strong in first KotoR outside of Destroy Droid, it's all about Fear line and sneak attacks.
Great writing kept their games afloat and turned them into big successes.Without MCA, no one will even care about Obsidian games. Look how quickly they dived in quality once MCA was booted outFunny that their best work's central appeal was Avellone edgy writing + british stage actress voice acting, and not the actual "game" part.
Exactly
Its a little crazy when u think about it
Hold my Force Storm spam...Direct damage force powers aren't strong in first KotoR outside of Destroy Droid, it's all about Fear line and sneak attacks.
Yes they fucking are.I have soft spot for the characters and story, but those are not enough to salvage rest of the game
I was quite lucky to play KotoR2 first, just because I happened to come across it. I was blown away and fully immersed almost instantly, eager to uncover all the game's secrets, dialogues, plotlines, etc.
Forget the writing, the entire gameplay loop in OWB was retarded and cringe from the damage sponge enemies to the Groundhog Day high school level. Baffling design choices. The whole talk with your brain was retarded and cringe.OWB is pure reddit. You could erase that DLC from history and nothing of value would be lost.
The dark side ending in KotOR 1 was more fun and memorable than anything in KotOR2Playing KotoR1 after this made me feel like that game was made for actual retards. It's so weak and cartoonish, and I can 100% guarantee no one on the Codex would remember KotoR1 if it weren't for KotoR2. Remember Jade Empire and how often it's talked about on here? Yea, me neither.
It has better writing and quests than 1 or 2, but as Sweeper articulated well in another thread, Fallout was a total package. The gorgeous art and animations, the music, the voice acting, the simple but still obviously much better combat, even the sound effects - these things all elevate it overall.I am prepared to burn at the stake:
FNV is the best Fallout
Fallouts 1 & 2 shit on the arcade gaming obshitian "fallout", and I don't even rate Fallouts 1 & 2 particularly high.I am prepared to burn at the stake:

FNV's awful intro section is the face creator.KOTOR2 and NV would be neck and neck for me if it wasn't for KOTOR2's awful intro section. New Vegas da champ!
I liked Peragus a lot, it was a very mysterious intro level with a number of mysteries that eventually get resolved in unexpected and satisfying ways. I also knew nothing about KotoR1, so the HK droid didn't immediately look suspicious to me until it started saying... weird things in the dialogue.Am I the only one who actually liked Peragus? The survival horror vibes in there were cool.
Can only assume the NPCs rating my post reddit never actually played the dark side path in KotOR. It's the ultimate power trip, your hero gets the hot girl and the empire. The dark side ending in KotOR 1 was more fun and memorable than anything in KotOR2Playing KotoR1 after this made me feel like that game was made for actual retards. Crazy that people disagree with this tbh. Forcing Zaalbar to kill Mission with the force was downright disturbing.
