People would need to know beforehand if their donation will be made public. We explicitly state on the donation page that it will not. This was all done in such a rush that a few things weren't thought out very well unfortunately.
You don't need to publish people's names or email addresses. Using the Codex usernames should be enough. Those who don't want even their username to be known could contact you via PM and ask for a placeholder name in the llist, something like AnonymousNNN. Or, even safer, before creating the list, you could send a PM to all donors asking if they want their usernames to be published. That would be quite a pain in the ass for you, though...

pledged $90 and doing my part :salute:

I hope there's some guarantee that they'll support Linux, either via a native build or at least a windows build that runs really well under wine.

I'm totally keeping my backing to get the collectors box, but once I have assessed my economic situation, I'll make a donation towards the statue as well.
I mean, it's like a thing now.

It's easy to get the emails and even names of most members from their usernames given that people re-use them all over the Internet and post their information in various places. And yea, the only serious way to do it would be to contact everyone about it but I'll leave DU to handle this as he sees fit.

Yeah, that's an option. Otherwise, we could just keep it really basic and list the donation amount currently sitting at No.30 and nothing else. (And maybe how many people have donated that amount). That way at least the minimal amount to get into line for a digital copy is known, and people could just keep sending a couple dollars more to get ahead of the curve...

Yeah, listing just the donation sums without names would work. People would know if they're in the top 30 without any personal info being revealed.

The largest single donation so far was $200... a few $100s and some more $50s. The rest are 20, 30, and lower.

treave's proposal from the other thread (http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/inde...rine-in-wasteland-2.70242/page-5#post-2001756) is also a good one: auction off all the stuff to cover server costs. You can keep a list of the top 30 donors and send them the keys without publishing anything, DU gets his sausage and everything else gets to eBay. "The RPG Codex Wasteland 2 signed Collector's Edition" should go for a fair amount. We could have DU draw a :mhd:on it with Tipex or something to make it truly unique.:troll:

I'll add more to the statue fund if you get the requisite monies needed countdown on the front page and also fix the troll dice rolls. M:

I don't like this idea...probably people that donated more to the Codex are likely to have more money to spare and also donated to the kickstater already. I gave $100 there and $50 here, I have no need for extra copies from the Codex.

There are people that would like to donate to both causes, but are short money and will only donate $15 to the kickstarter directly to garantee their copy. I would prefer if we could give a copy to those that only have 15 and want to help with te statue; or just message Fargo and abandon all the physical rewards, in exchange of getting the statue even if we raise less money or something, as I really doubt we will get past $2,500...

I'll chip in 50-100 for the Codex fund after the 16th (payday). Already have my 50 in on kickstarter though, so need to wait to justify more money down the drain.

$1375 gross up to this point.
Thats quite good for such a short time and seeing how members here donated over 3000 before you joined in with your stuff.
Youll probably even get the 5 ge till the end, especially if you put up some links up there.

Peter should make an even more spiffy illustration and you give it as a high res wallpaper to those that donate through codex.
Easy stuff.

I'll publish a list of forum account names of those who contributed (where I can get the forum account name) but I won't associate them with the amount they donated (people are already saying how much they donated anyway). I don't think anyone will mind a list with their name in it saying they contributed to the Codex statues. If you do, let me know and I'll send someone round to kick you in the balls until you change your mind.

I like this. I already donated for both ($250 there and $50 here) so I wouldn't need another copy, and I'm not the only one in this situation. We should find the best way to incentivize those who don't have money to burn by donating in both places, to donate via the Codex so that we can gather as much as possible for the statue tier.

Just donated to glorious Codex statue. I think you guys should keep the digital copies for contests/ect, maybe bribe forum users to write some reviews with a copy as a reward for a good one. If someone donated in the top 30 or so and can't donate, for whatever reason, a separate $15 for a digital copy maybe give them one from the pile. No big deal, either way.

I'm happy to see that the total is at 452k right now, tipping us over the 50% mark.

There should be a good old fashioned 'Post here for Fate Wasteland 2 unlock code' thread.
