"I've got to recommend Rapelay to y'all"

RapeLay is a 3D eroge video game made by Illusion, released on April 21, 2006, in Japan. The game centers on a male character who stalks and rapes a mother and her two daughters.

Cozy as in relaxing and helping you to relax?
Age of Empires 2.
Doom 1 and 2 - cathartic release of rage, tell me it isn't simply relaxing slaughtering entire hordes of zombies and demons?

Cozy games can be anything. Any good game you spend quality time with / have nostalgia for can feel like a warm blanket. Hell I find Doom cozy at this point.

The term as its thrown around on Reddit and in the mainstream these days tends to refer to feminine / casual garbage like Stardew Valley or w/e though. Sorry OP I have no recs on that front.

Kinda surprised nobody has mentioned The Secret of Monkey Island yet. It's impossible to play those first two without a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your chest.

There are a lot of cozy games to choose from. My criteria will be, that I played them in 2023, and that the challenge isn't stressful. Otherwise there are too many games to choose from.
