One of the best games I ever played. If it's a good rpg or not depends on what you consider to be an rpg.

Don't see what's so absurd about it.

Absurd is saying stuff like:

"Oblivion is one of the greatest games of all time".
"That Pete Molyneaux is one modest dude."
"The combat in Arcanum rocked!".
"The characters in ToEE have too much depth".
"NWN's toolset was garbage but the main quest was heaven, just heaven!"
"Fallout 3 is everything Fallout 1 & 2 were and much, much more!"
"The Codex is one big happy family!"
