What game are you wasting time on?

Oh fuck it. I had more fun dicking around in Arcanum high-res patch than messing with Crysis 2's shit.
I'll start hunting for overpowered suit editing or uninstall.exe is the only way.

Reading the below statement is just painful.

There was a time in the gaming industry when "linear" was a bad word. Nowadays games are presented in many different ways and, depending on the subject matter, a linear progression may be the best way to do it. On this week's Soapbox Adam talks about how much he's enjoying Crysis 2, how its linearity is an improvement over the first game, and yet it still allows for a lot of freedom within gameplay.

Left 4 Dead is now sucking dry all my gaming time. Can't believe I didn't pick up this gem earlier. The assholes in multiplayer only add to the game for once.

Oh god I used to play this every night with two of my buddies for several months. It was way too addictive, even though there's just a handful of campaigns. Make sure you try some of the custom campaigns made by modders, there are great ones in there. Just grab the ones with the highest number of votes and you're set.

I've been playing a lot of Silent Hunter 4. Sucked up all my free time over the holidays.

Mechwarrior - struggling with horrible controls. I can't configure the game to not crash at the end of a mission and have sound at the same time.

Seal Team - I keep getting killed in the first practice mission.

X-Com 3 - modded for more brutal X-Com 1- like combat, more sensible equipment stats and prices, etc.

Battletech: Crescent Hawks Inception - It was the first time in last few years when I have spent several hours playing a game.

BRO! Is it the first or the second? Because if it's the second (I don't have the first, since it seems the sequel is an improved version, and it should be getting more content from the first game soon anyway) we have to play that good shit together!

Played me some Nexus: The Jupiter Incident again. P.decent game actually, though I definitely wish it had been Imperium Galactica 3 instead.

Gothic.

I don't know why people complain so much about the controls, it isn't that bad. Maybe it's because I've endured through System Shock, any control scheme is good in comparison.

Yep, controls aren't bad at all. I heard all of the warnings, too, but it only took me about ten minutes to get the hang of things.

Not buried deep enough
I finished Alpha Protocol last weekend and then dug a couple of days into a big Minecraft construction project. I've also finally gotten around to the Dead Money content for F:NV after letting it sit for a month or so. I'm liking it for the most part, though I'm finding some of the characters obnoxiously chatty.

I'm playing Capsized. It's an abuse-like platformer where you play a white imperialist with superior firepower who goes around killing the peaceful native aliens.
