Wasn't it confirmed BG3 isn't coming out this year? That means it is going to be in EA for years plural.

Trash mobs in a high lethality RtWP game is not a serious problem; You throw a fireball and end the trash encounter quickly.
Trash mobs shouldn't be there in the first place. They only intensify the murderhobo problem in CRPGs.
HEY! We find the grind and camp out there. We ain't called murderhobos for nothing. Sometimes the grind is the only high we can get.

I can't think of any RPG I haven't tried to grind. It is like the first thing that my instincts crave. GRIND LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW!!!

Just implement a spell like M&M VI~VIII Armageddon and problem solved.
Murderhoboing with a OHK spell is still murderhoboing.

Is not OHK spell but with Dark Magic skill = 10, you can dish 60 damage in the entire map. Few casts and everything, from the strongest monster to the weakest peasant die. This is why the spell can only be used few times / day. Because if you rest, enemies recover health, but if you can cast it like 4x / day, you can kill everything with less than 240 damage in the entire map.

Also, the game is a "blobber" aka a murderhobo wet dream.

Low IQ RTWP codexers don't understand concepts such as early access.

Yep. Larian fans have high IQ > https://rpgcodex.net/forums/threads...-now-with-iwd-ee-reviews.141531/#post-7686435

And it was in development for a couple years before that at least since late 2018/early 2019 since it was announced and demo'd in E3 2019.
exactly what does that have to do with early access?
They've been developing it for at least a year or two before it went into early access. Now it's probably about over three years in development and its still not done with a large staff and something like a million+ people who pretty much funded the development by buying EA. It's still nowhere close to being done. If Germans were developing it, it would have been done already. If a group of people is able to pull of the feat of gassing and incinerating 6 million jews in a period of five years, you can do anything. Belgians are just incompetent and lazy. Likely due to the fact that they're all frogs.

Do we even know what their final vision is and how close they are to getting there? I hear they're still adding classes.

Average game development period is two to three years. This game should've been done already.

Average game development period is two to three years.
Good joke. Maybe for 10 hour long corridor shooters.
No. That's for bigger, longer games like Neverwinter Nights, Fallout New Vegas, Oblivion, Morrowind, Fallout 3, Skyrim, etc.
Now try picking a game actually made in the past decade.
Sure. DOS1 had a two-three year development cycle. DOS2 had a two-three year dev cycle. Pillars of Eternity had a three year dev cycle. PoE2 had a three year dev cycle. Wasteland 3 had about a three year development cycle. Kingmaker and Wrath had about a two to three year development cycle if you take into account the games weren't really playable until about a year of patches. The Witcher 3 had about a three year dev cycle. Dark Souls 3 had a two to three year dev cycle.
