2.) TW1 failed to capture the Geralt of the books. Instead CDP made some sort of promiscous Steven Seagal of him.

This, and "best" dialogs of the game are in truth direct copy pasta from the books

UltraNewfag here.

Anyway, I don't get the butthurt over this. The OVERALL quality of the game is irrelevant to the fact that the QTE aspect of it will be utter crap. Because QTE are utter crap.

If the game turns out to be great then you can say: "This shit is great !" but don't forget to add "The QTE component however, minor as it may be, is utter crap." Truth is truth, no argument.

Also, when a developer advertises an upcoming game with an utter crap component there is a high probability that other crap components will also be present. They may not, but they PROBABLY will.

Incline of newfags. :salute:

A dev posted this good news on the official forums:
There is possibility to turn off QTE system so there is always choice to play with or without it

So what will we bitch about now? :D

How the fuck would you turn off the QTEs when they're an integral part of the boss fights?

The only thing I can think of is that you basically get an "automatic win" during those sequences, so in effect you'll be watching a cutscene of Geralt fighting.

QTEs or not, that "Tentadrake" fight looks like absolute shit. It'd be better if they spent their time and energy on something else rather than these scripted, rinse-and-repeat boss fights.

I've recently stumbled upon some three week old video interview with Gop, where he said that QTE is only in this single boss fight with this giant squid, and even there it's only an alternative way of defeating it. As for the dragon, judging by the description, it seems that it's not even a boss fight, but just a small sequence. So, if all of this is true, it seems that the feature that have received most discussion here will be the least significant.
