Keep in mind these are direct translations (maybe even transliterations, I'll have to check the the video where they were shown. The Japanese like to name things in English and the stuff they come up with is pretty weird.). There's a fairly high chance these are NOT the English names (ESPECIALLY "Forcer").
Command and Forcer do seem odd indeed.

I expect Command either to be changed to Commando or Commander.

And Forcer to be changed to Force User or Ether User.

These english class name were in menus when game was shown during e3 last year. I suppose such engrish names can happen when japanese devs use some english text. That should be fixed during localization. I dont think any sane translator would let it go.

I wonder how the English version will handle the CV listing, especially if dual audio is used as English VAs typically aren't credited in dubbed works (I recall something about it pissing off some other union for some reason, but no idea).

Akiba's Trip 2's English version listed "Voice Actor (Japanese)" in character profiles with no mention of the English VA, but that would be weird to see on the character creation screen.
(It also would be difficult to fit in the space given with English text. They'll likely go for a half size font and list the family and given names on separate lines)

So I was reading up a bit more on the game and the Mechs (the thing that interests me the most... by far).

The mech gameplay seems a hell lot more interesting than anything else in the game,

Fuel consumption, determined by engine.
Limbs on the mechs can be destroyed if they are damaged enough.
Decapacitations on some enemies.
Weaponry can be equipped on both arms and the shoulders.

Now, all it needs is a flaming chainsaw weapons for the mechs and I will be one happy camper. :flamesaw:

If I understood correctly (I do not read moonrunes), Combat Direct in the 6th of march, 22 minutes long.

The question that shall hopefully be answered: "Is the combat still shit?"

yes plz

Every time I see an update for this game I get a tiny bit excited and then remember I don't have a WiiU and probably never will.

The good thing about Xenoblade: It doesnt play like a typical JRPG (FF style)
The bad thing about about Xenoblade: It doesnt play like a typical JRPG (FF style), it plays like an mmorpg

What will make or break my interest for this game is the mech combat. The stuff I am hearing about it on /v/ makes me very interested (damaging and destroying specific body parts), but Xenoblade 1 had terrible combat, so...

Version with english subtitles. Just as expected its pretty much same battle systems with new features likes combos or chain attack being replaced by overclock gear. Looks like next one should be about dolls, this one ended with showing off enemy doll.

Hopefully that wont be case with all weapons. I doubt something like sniper rifle will work in same way.

I'd just prefer that I can turn it off in the options. Then I don't need to let weapon types affect my party roster.

Latest stream focusing on dolls is now available with English subtitles. Some new information:
-dolls fuel is used to flight and fights, it regenerates slowly when doll is not piloted or can be bought
-there is insurance for dolls
-while online you can meet characters of other players and use them as party members
-there are co-op quests

Having your own body parts blow up in the middle of combat is excellent news. Having them regenerate afterwards on the other hand is really lame.

I wonder how expensive the destroyed mechs are to replace.

Oh and 9:47, a giant mech wielding a laser katana. That sounds really weeaboo,
I like it:desu:

I didn't think the mech stuff was gonna be this deep. Can't wait to get my hands on this game now. The rest can be as crappy as it wants, I don't care. The mech wank is enough for me.

The mecha stuff looks interesting and could be fun even if i am more to the Wanzer/Mech warrior style mechs.

Subbed story trailer:

Well it looks like I'm on :hype:.

I guess the aliens motives are a bit more understandable now. Also, the whole thing seemed to give of a vibe that the story will deal with a society at the brink of extinction, and its impact on society and individuals. That could lead to an interesting plot if done right.

Well it's certainly more interesting than the usual fantasy settings. Hoping this game justifies my impulse purchase of Wii U last year. Used that thing for less than 5 hours so far.
