The only real hentai game I've played was Sengoku Rance. Apart from that, the only other hentai game I'm interested in would be that Sengoku Rance style hentai strategy game set in space. Forgot what It was called.

I played some, since they are usually funny (X-Change 1 or 2 has you entering a "bang bus" on accident, then later on you can get raped by the entire art club just because you entered their room at the wrong time). Then there was that other game I don't recall the name of, you were a guy who lost his memory and ended up in a creepy mansion. One character was based on the red riding hood, only she was locked inside a house along with her brother who was transformed into a huge monster (werewolf?) and raped her during the full moon and oh man oh god oh man oh god

Don't play them anymore because the clickaclickaclikca Diablo-in-text-form gameplay gets tiresome after a while. Didn't even wank while playing anyway, so manga provided better lulz/mb ratio (torrenting a 500mb game on a 56k connection was painful).

I think the first one I tried out was Fate/Stay night, which I was curious about after watching the anime. Then I checked out a few others but sort of gave up on the genre. I wouldn't mind the click fest (use a keyboard or controller or something, mouse is horribad way to go for these) so much if the story was any good, but they tend to be so awfully written, sex scenes or not. I mean, they're porno games so the sex is contrived to happen at the drop of a hat, but in that case why the 500 pages of other trivial, equally contrived shit?

That said, Rance was worthwhile because the gameplay is really fun, and enough of the dialog was funny to make that part bearable. And the one RK47 is LPing I actually decided to try too... and it's actually decently written. People act like people more often than not, and say/do things I remember or can imagine people doing when I was that age. Though I'm mostly reading it because I'm a sucker for drama/romance stuff.

I play "hentai games" occasionally. Some are surprisingly good, whereas others are extremely sub-par.

Some noteworthy titles:

Crescendo - The graphics are a bit peculiar, but the story and some of the characters are remarkable. Nice soundtrack as well. Definitely a favourite of mine.

Kana: Little Sister - Very good story and atmosphere. It is surprisingly engaging. Another favourite for sure.

Divi Dead - Great horror game. The sex scenes feel a bit superimposed at times, but the story and the oftentimes creepy atmosphere is truly excellent.

Enzai: Falsely Accused - A very disturbing thriller/horror game, but not without its bright moments. Most of the characters are interesting and the story, while fairly anachronistic, is pretty good.

Hitomi: My Stepsister - Ultimately quite poor, but I like how disturbed the characters are. The atmosphere is, at times, very creepy (in a good way), and the soundtrack, while uneven, contains a few gems of its own.

I only play the ones with gameplay. I even beat the whole Rance saga, and I must admit that I had more fun with it than with any other jRPG (and far more ``emotional engagement´´ to !). In most strategy or RPG games you just get generic rewards like XP and cash, here when you beat the evil chick you get to hear her lamentations (realism). I also found some interesting games like a dungeon keeper clone (Suzukuri Dragon) where you play as a dragon and need to terrorize towns to get you hoard of gold and virgin ``sacrifices´´, and then fend of the dragonslayer wannabes (and put then in prision and gahahaha them of course). Don´t just treat them as shit just because they have porn in it.
I find the virtual novels the most banalshitboring thing ever though, and when EA releases control I´m pretty sure Bioware will become the first producer of VN.
