ta223.jpg

But due to the votes:

ta224.jpg

He's fucked.

:smug:

(If you choose to help him, he will act much more intelligent than in the video - he will run into our direction)

:incline:

But it's not that important - he's immortal anyway.

:decline:

From now on, battle descriptions should look like the thing above.

Unless you really want to watch the videos. Yeah, right - nobody watches them. :/

Anyway, we've survived!

Anyway - it looks like we have to go back:

ta259.jpg

ta261.jpg

ta262.jpg

ta263.jpg

ta264.jpg

ta265.jpg

A crossbow, some boots and 1st set of armor!

:)

Too bad that only 3 jobs can use heavy armor:

ta266.jpg

Now for the best part...

Ramza stays Squire, learns Salve, Move+1 (Squire) and Defend (Knight), equips new weapon:

ta267.jpg

And here he motherfucking is!

ta268.jpg

Delita and Argath learn some new skills as well (let's skip them since they're guests...):

ta269.jpg

ta270.jpg

BTW, Argath has some p. weird abilities for a Squire:

:?

Now for the rest of the team.

Bee:

ta272.jpg

[Job]: [Abilities learned]

Squire: Focus, Blitz, Parry
Chemist: Ether, Antidote, Echo Herbs, Reequip
Knight: Virgin (a.k.a. Crispy)
Archer: Crispy

Aislin: nothing new (Crispy as fuck)

Mrowaksu: nothing new (Crispy as fuck)

Warcupine:

ta273.jpg

Squire: Rush, Stone, Beatdown, Parry
Chemist: Potion, Phoenix Down, Reequip, Treasure Hunter

Steve:

ta274.jpg

But nothing new.

Paco: nothing new (Crispy as fuck)

Guzu:

ta275.jpg

Squire: Stone, Steel, Parry
Chemist: Potion, Ether, Phoenix Down, Reequip

Bane: nothing new (Crispy as fuck)

That's it for now.

There's a high chance that on the way to Dorter we're going to bump into a random encounter.

;)

In that case...

Who wants to go (5 units)?

You know what to do...

Hey guys - I got a funny PM from Vault Dveller.
He wanted me to post its contents here, anonymously. But fuck this shit, the truth must be revealed!

Br9im.jpg

Vault Dveller said:
Hello, boys and girls - uncle Pete Hines here.

:smug:

One of our emploees responsible for monitoring RPGCodex (we're looking for new ideas in RPG design everywhere, even here) informed me about this thread. So - here I am.
As I can see, some of you (for example users 'Pipka' and 'Cassidy' - hey, I love Preacher BTW!) has some problems with participating in this LP.
We at the Bethesda Softworks know such problems too well - some gamers want to see something AWESOME while playing the game, but the overwhelming number of choices and options makes this difficult.
Worry not - uncle Pete is here!

But what is my reason for helping you, you may ask?
Well, as all of you are certainly aware of, our company acquired a successful RPG franchise some time ago and decided to bring it back to it's former glory.
Yes, I'm talking about the GOTY 2008 'Fallout 3 [tm]'.
Our little baby was so successful, that we even decided to allow some subsidiaries to expand the franchise by creating an expansion.
'New Vegas' probably wasn't as good as the main game (but I have to admit that Chris and CO did a nice job with it) but our cooperation with Obsidian Soft. brought another legendary classic to our attention.
We were determined to obtain rights to this franchise and after long legal battle, we've recently succeeded.
But what franchise am I talking about?
Well, Todd would kill me if I revealed this information on such early stage of development, but I can give you a little hint - in the original game, one of the characters was a talking skull.

;)

Anyway, we've decided to re-boot the whole franchise and turn it into an epic trilogy (at least!) and that's why I'm here today.
One of the main problems with remaking old games is their potential appeal to current gamers.
For example, old Fallout games were full of choices and difficult situations, where choosing one option would prevent gamer from experiencing a part of the game.
Now, that's not a good thing, is it?

That's why we decided that our future productions should feature a new difficulty mode, along with: Hard, Normal, Easy, Very Easy and Totally Easy.
The codename for such mode is 'Auto' (Yes - I've came up with it myself).

:obviously:

We are sure that some gamers love their hobby, but simply don't have enough time to spend on gaming.
We want to help such people (as long as they buy our games). :D

So, as part of our 'Auto' project and to estimate the % of so called 'busy' gamers, some anonymous employees of Bethesda Softworks will participate in this LP.

If you find the harsh rules of this LP too difficult, just state that you want some of your choices to be automated.
Our people will be monitoring this thread and making choices for you by PM-ing spekkio.

I'm eager to see how high the percentage of such posters turns out to be.

ypQz2.jpg

Keep up the good fight for the future of our gaming hobby!

Cheers,

Pete
Yeah. That's what VD wrote.

:?

So.. Yeah.
If you don't want to make all the choices yourself, just state that some/all of them should be automated.

For example, Pipka's and Cassidy's characters will act like this from now on:

  • JP spending: Auto
  • Jobs: Auto (target job - Dragoon (Pipka), Dancer (Cassidy)
  • Abilities: Auto
  • Weapon: Auto
I guess guys from Beth can be just as good as you with these choices.

:obviously:

People who were posting their detailed choices before (Ulminati, Crooked Bee, procrastinator and The Thin Man) can switch to the 'Auto' mode or stick to the 'Manual' approach.

But one thing stays unchanged:

You have to volunteer to participate in missions!
(to promote activity)

I've recruited 4 more units to allow all readers to participate:

ta281.jpg

ta282.jpg

ta283.jpg

ta284.jpg

ta285.jpg

ta286.jpg

ta287.jpg

ta288.jpg

All of them are... Crispy as fuck.

So - we need five soldiers for the inevitably upcoming random encounter - who wants to go?

Post your playing mode: Auto (but state target job at least, FFS) or Manual (post all necessary things as before).

Fucking

:decline:

Since Pete a.k.a. VD also sent me the promotional copy of TES - Skyrim...

See you next Thursday...

:obviously:

Both facial animations and writing are simply incredible!!!!111!!

You did? About spending your JP for Knight and Archer?

:?

Oh wait a minute!

It's either the case of wanting to switch to 'auto'

:decline:

or the case of a wrong account.

And Paula has that many? :?

That is a planned way so I don't have to bother posting it piecemeal. Start up with Blitz and Parry then, and once enough JPs are gained for the other mentioned skills, finish it with Move +1 and finally Beastmaster.

Manual all the way! If my computer should explode and I get abducted by aliens, Warcupine is aiming for knight->monk->(samurai?). But I fully expect to be checking in frequently.

Semiauto, monk wannabe, just bleed. Ideally: +1 move, secondary: knight abilities and whatever skill that allows you to use armour, maybe combined with the "counter attack with your missing hp as damage, change as you see fit.

Beware! You gain JP for certain job ONLY if you have this job chosen. So, if you want to gain more 'Squire' points - stay Squire. But if you want to learn more 'Chemist' points - you have to switch your job to Chemist.

So where did additional Squire points came from?

Sup, Drogs?

To clarify some things:

1.
Cassidy said:
Squire - Thief - Lancer - Dancer

It's not how it works.

KJbSs.jpg

If you want to become a tranny dancer, you need:
Squire 3, Knight 3, Archer 3, Thief 4, Monk 4, Lancer 4 and Geomancer 4.

2.
procrastinator said:

A perceptive one, huh?

:obviously:

It's so-called "JP spillover". I wasn't sure if this was modded-out or not. It looks that it wasn't.

In vanilla game:

GameFag said:
Units get JP for the class they're in, and they also gain a fraction (1/4) of the JP every ally participating in the battle gets.
Like if a Priest gets 20 JP, everyone else also gets 5 JP for Priest as well.
That's why you got +89 JP in Squire (four squires acting) while Bee and Warcupine only got +15 in Chemist (one chemist acting).
You (our only chemist) got +66 'chemist' JP (142-76). 66/4 = ~ 15 and that's how many 'chemist' JP Bee, WC, Ramza and Delita received.

Man, I feel so...

:smug:

But wait! There's more!

Another GameFag said:
JP apparently even spills over to jobs that some of your characters may not have. For example, I've been using the samurai class on Ramza since very early in the game, and I've just recently unlocked the samurai class for another character in my party -- I was surprised to see that this different character's samurai was already at job level 6 despite never having access to the job!
So thanks to Bee switching to Knight, you we will start gaining 'knight JP' from now on, even if you can't yet become a knight. Just by watching Bee's sexy moves in combat.

Quick update to show our MAJESTIC strike team...

Bee becomes a knight:

ta301.jpg

ta302.jpg

I think we have our 1st tank (>100 HP).

:)

Sov becomes a chemist:

ta303.jpg

DrDR does the same:

ta304.jpg

Another squire joins us, equipped with a ranged weapon:

ta305.jpg

Steve is the last unit to join our team:

ta306.jpg

3 chemists, a squire and a knight?

Anyway, we carefully move through Mandalia Plains, when suddenly!

ta307.jpg

;)

ta308.jpg

From left to right: Bee, DrDR, Sov, Steve and Paula.

This encounter doesn't look that bad - two squires and a chemist.

ta309.jpg

The kitty is allied:

ta310.jpg

This should be easy.
Well, as long as you take this guy down:

ta311.jpg

Lv 5 Squire with good equipment...
