Volourn ranks the NWN1 OC over the NWN2 OC?

Fucking hell.

And he is right. NWN2 is a steaming pile of shit with all its colorful, stereotyped NPC and extremely boring, even more so than NWN1 oc, dungeons.

what? NWN2 had at least 2 redeeming factors - the castle and the trial.
NWN1 has none.

Side quests. Finding an ancient tomb, rescuing animals from a zoo, putting barbarians on trial, and finding a werewolf were all pretty fun, and that's just off the top of my head.

"No choices, no consequences"

Why do people feel the fuckin' need to lie about stuff in order to lamely try to prove a false point? Fuck. That's dumb.

Game over. And, that's just a few side quests. NWN1 OC has tons of side quests (and even 'main quests' that, interestingly enough, has multipleways to complete them along with consequences. Sure, not at the level of FO; but overall better than most RPGs.

And, while I like NWN1 OC more than NWN2 OC it's like by just a little bit. Moron. Not like there's a huge gap inbetween the two.

P.S. Anyone who thinks SOU is better than NWN OC and HOTU is just plain retarded.

ah yes and most of them are linear. it's not like NWN2 had no side quests

and even 'main quests' that, interestingly enough, has multipleways to complete them along with consequences

lol. what multiple ways? what consequences? in NWN1 OC it's a plain railroad.

Not like there's a huge gap inbetween the two.

yes they both suck. only NWN2 sucks a little bit less.

SoU had nicer tilesets, and the story was more interesting. So yeah it probably is better than the OC.

HOTU is definitely the best of all three though, you'll find no argument from me on that point.

Lie.

"lol. what multiple ways? what consequences?"

Quite a bit, actually. You'd know this if you actually played the game. L0L

"story was more interesting"

I don't really see the point in comparing this two. They are not in the same category (quality-wise)

Also, if we are seriously into this comparison business thanks to Andhaira's obsession, why not take the various NWN mods into account.

My personal favourites are The Aielund Saga, The Bastard of Kosigan - series, Tale of a Mage 1-2, Lord of Darkness 1-4, A Hunt Through the Dark 1-6, Blaark Chonicles, AL 1-3, Harpers Tale, Infernal Crown 1-4 - and of course, Blackguard 1-3 for the joy of being a complete badass. And of course, the "adult" mods: Kunoichi 1-2 and Dance with Rogues Part One and Two.

IMHO, these are all superior in quality to anything Bioware ever produced for NWN and they are also better than NWN2' OC.

Tale of a Mage is bland beyond belief.

Dance with Rogues tries too hard to be *~edgy*~. The first part is okay enough, but the second is absolutely ridiculous in the sheer frequency of stripping the PC naked (not to mention those endless multi-floored dungeons with plot doors every-freaking-where). And oh god, the fucking awful awful sex. Mod's author can't write porn to save her life.

Did someone say porn? Do you get collectible cards after sex?

A Dance With Rogues is much, much, worse than the Witcher in terms of corny sex. You play as a girl who hardly ever has her clothes on and has the ability to solve every quest through fucking.

Try Tortured Hearts and anything by Baldecaran. Out of the ones you suggested. Kosigan is the best (although I've only played Exile) closely followed by Aielund.

Yes, that. Next to ADWR, Witcher looks completely mature and non-tacky. Not to mention, a great majority of the custom armor in those mods look like lingerie.

Diantre, I guess I have no choice but to reinstall NWN and try that mod then...

And c'mon, the sex in The Witcher wasn't that immature. Ok maybe some parts of it were.

C' mon, it wasn't that bad... It was an unique experience, and it is a redeeming factor for a lot of the mod's faults.

I remember showing a few of The Witcher's art cards to a female friend. Ok, it wasn't the best idea. I had a massive hangover at the time, though, and I wasn't thinking clearly.

Needless to say, she thought they were weird and disgusting.

My (ex) girlfriend actually liked the idea and found the art beautiful.

*in a few hours*

Geralt - could you please fuck me?

You know, speaking of Shadows Of Undrentide, I just remembered the Wise Wind Quest.

There's a dusty old library, and inside is an old book. When you read the book, you are teleported to another world within that book, and when you read the book in that world, you are yet again teleported to another world within that book. And then there's yet another book in that world which tells the whole history of the world until the most recent and at that point you are outside the book, and back to the normal world. And then you rewrite the book, and then capture the Wise Wind. I honestly thought that was pretty cool.

I remember having to force myself to play Shadows Of Undrentide though, since it was really repetitive and boring (go to one dungeon, find stolen magic item, rinse and repeat), but with the Netheril city, it did start to get kinda fun, but it was at that point when it was over.

I was positive, at first, that Andhaira made this thread.
Maybe he has - EtCheveuxUn is obviously an alt.
That was my sentiment as well, but the thing is - he seems to be posting from a static IP that doesn't match any other posters. Portscan says: "no open ports / proxies", so the IP in question really seems to belong to the computer these posts are coming from. If this is an alt, he's using a different PC to post as EtCheveuxUn.
