Wanted to give it a pirate to check it out, newest version on TPB is from 09/2016. Sad!

Yeah that's a real Greek tragedy right there.
Hey, they're the ones potentially missing out on 20€. I'm certainly not gonna be buying it without testing it beforehand. Especially not early-access garbage.
Only pre-ordered PoE because I pirated the beta.

So they need 165K in less than 3 hours to get to the crew. Seems unlikely but then I never thought they would get to 4 million.

PayPal is gonna count towards stretch goals, so I'd say they will get there.

I'm glad they didn't give her a rapier because rapiers are NOT LIGHT and would be a bad pick for a nerdy women like her, or any woman for that matter.
What are you talking about? How is 1kg/2lb not light?

2.5lb average is heavy for a one-handed sword. It's not light for sword standards. However it doesn't require a lot of strength properly wield a sword, it's mostly about being physically fit and being skilled. In fact rapier is probably one of the better swords for a weaker person to use because there is much less parrying involved, as well as no half-swording which is basically wrestling in a way.
It's not lighter than the average short sword, but 1-1.1kg is definitely light (in absolute terms). 2.5lb is not heavy for a sword, though.
Also, a rapier doesn't need strength, but it requires a lot of wrist and doesn't offer much protection, so it's not the best weapon for a "nerdy woman". A light polearm would be much better overall, and also easier to use. In fact, something like a naginata would be a much better fit for her weeby design.

I think you are not aware how much swords weight in general, because 2.5lb is heavy for a one-handed sword, its weight is on the upwards weight of one-handed cavalry swords, let alone infantry ones. It's heavy.

... you guys need to bear in mind these are fantasy words. In this case, a fantasy world where "soul energy" can be harnessed to amplify physical power.

The range of possibilities with weapons increases exponentially under those theoretical conditions.

You still need some standards, you can't hand-wave everything with "magic", at one point it's clear that you are a hack writer. To change fundamental physics you need to have done so from the ground up and it wouldn't affect only weapon weight.

I mean, I get that.

But monks, barbarians, etc, have no right to exist at this level of rigor and logic.

Internal consistency is the key. Once you establish what magic (or, in PoE - souls) can and cannot do - it's much easier to build up a good framework of logic that seems plausible (even though we're talking about fantasy).

The issue with PoE1 was that that they didn't do this from the start (just look at the Watcher Vs Cipher confusion, which is even apparent in some quests), but it looks like they will for PoE2 (JS said it's a very high priority, and he, the person who developed most of the lore, is Lead Narrative Designer, so there should be fewer of hiccups like those).

Josh says Fulvano islands aren't a sequential thing you have to go through. They're all over the place.

We won't reach 4.5M in Fig alone, that's for sure.

Looks like they won't make 4.5 million. Lame. I'd swap that ship crew stretch goal for most of what they came up with this entire month.

For TEP they had no idea - apart from MEGADUNGEON! - what they were gonna do with it (even the statue itself, the lynchpin of PoE2's events, was just a random "Wouldn't it look cool?" idea the artist had during the KS campaign), but this looks like they at least put some rudimentary thought into it beforehand.

They might not reach 4.5mil with the Fig campaign but pretty sure they'll be able to reach it with paypal post-campaign.
