Many a fan of Baldurs Gate had their hearts in a flutter this week, after the news / rumour that the third installment of the series was due to ship in February next year. Although Mr. J.E. Sawyer (lead designer at Black Isle) mysteriously said "This is incorrect information", some BG fans bravely fought back the tears and said "Maybe he meant the release date isn't in February... perhaps it's in March!"

Alas, dear fans of real-time combat scenarios, it wasn't meant to be.
