HomeLAN - Why did Obsidian Entertainment wish to ally themselves with BioWare?
Feargus Urquhart - What Bioware and Obsidian like about working together is that we have known each other for coming up on ten years and we have built up a lot of trust and respect. I think our talents really complimented each other.
How exactly did BioWare compliment Interplay and Black Isle? On the one hand, you have BioWare running way, way over schedule with Neverwinter Nights, sucking down what little money Interplay had. On the other hand, you have Black Isle clinging to a severely limited engine for way too long, hoping to milk it for all it's worth, and ultimately producing one final flop with that engine at a time when they really needed an infusion of innovation and cold, hard cash.
Thanks, Dan!
