Tags: Eschalon: Book IDhruin was lucky enough to get his hands on a pre-release version of Eschalon: Book 1 and has posted his first impressions at RPG Watch. Expect to get your mouth all watery.
Eschalon is a welcome return to classic stat-based CRPG gameplay, with crisp graphics reminiscent of Arcanum and a presentation quality that sets a new standard for indie roleplaying games. Despite some question marks over the combat, we can’t wait to delve further into the game for a full review but in the meantime, grab the demo when it is released on the 19th and prepare to be hooked. To be honest, I'm already hooked. I'll get the demo no matter what.
Thanks for the first impressions Dhruin, I'm looking forward to your full review.
BTW, the official release date of the full version is also the 19th.
Thanks, Brother None.
