The nominations to the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Awards have been announced. In the Roleplaying Game of the Year category, the only PC game is CD Projekt's The Witcher and the only other non-jRPG is BioWare's Mass Effect. Other nominees are Eternal Sonata, Jeanne d'Arc and Rogue Galaxy.

General Academy voting will begin on January 18, 2008 with the Award winners announced at the Interactive Achievement Awards ceremony on February 7, 2008, at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas.
