See if you can pop a haswell i7 in your mobo, that would greatly improve rpcs3 performance.

Doubt it would change much. It doesn't have more actual cores and used one costs like 500zl where i live (compared to i5-3570K 250zl).

If anything i will be switching to 3600X or 4600x next year.

Would be interesting to see how much of an effect my skylake i7 6700k has on performance. I seem to be getting a pretty stable 60 fps.

FPS drops mostly seem to be area related rather than how busy the screen is.

Alas! in my skull
I've read that rpcs3 uses 8 threads (from 8 PS3 processors) and gains in performance if there are 8 logical cores in the system, otherwise it has to do tricks to balance scheduling them on what there is available. There is apparently noticeable gain in performance between i5 and i7 processors. I noticed huge gain when I upgraded from OC'd i5 to even a lower clocked i7 but then I jumped from sandy bridge to haswell that does AVX2 too which rpcs3 utilizes.

I now don't get any slowdown in boletaria before phalanx neither on stairs.
Framepacing has some issues but overall... amazing and again nice boost in performance.
Frame rate stability has gone up for me considerably after generating shader caches, so that's great (with Vulkan, last SPU option, 30fps).

I get guaranteed save corruption in Boletaria if i get killed by the red-eyed spear knight on the wrong end of the trebuchet bridge though. Wanna confirm that? :P

I'd totally forgotten how absolutely broken magic was in Demons Souls, they really nerfed it in the sequels. I went with royalty as my starting class and trounced through 1-1 with zero problems. I remember I struggled so much in the first area back this was my first Souls game. I'm not good by any means but I guess after playing so much of Dark Souls 1 and BB stuff just seems way easier.

I still love Demons Souls though and I think it had the most ambition/best atmosphere out of the series. IMO the game looks way better than Dark Souls, maybe I'm just crazy. Also its wonderful being able to play this at 60 fps on my pc. I have every souls game accessible on my pc now..except for Bloodborne :negative:

More like everyone git gud to point where you are extremely efficient with everything including resources. I still remember my first play-trough of Demon's Souls and i basically couldn't play as mage becauase it was way to easy to die. Now i can finish whole game naked SL1 without issue.

Dark Souls 3/Bloodborne bosses really trained me well

:shredder:
