Pardon me for rezzing, but I can't let this go. The contributors to this thread were determined to shred the authenticity of a fantasy language for a fantasy creature in a fantasy world. That's a point to remember, right there. The language is the tongue of dragons, not humanoids. It's not an expertly crafted language and the lyrics aren't the work of a master. Music is a primal art, its chief power lying in the unspeakable emotions it elicits. "Dovahkiin" achieves that power with a language that emphasizes guttural bursts of sound to evoke the heart of the glory of adventure, prayers of triumphant joy and the ecstatic awe which great legends produce in us. How can this have failed so enormously to affect any of you?
