There's a bunch of dudes in my class who keep talking about "lifting" and "gains". None of them is taller than my shoulders.
In BG2, Core Difficulty, while not labeled as such, is implied to be the game's "Hard Mode". In IWD 1 and 2, Core Difficulty is labeled as "Normal". Or, at the very least, the explanation given is that Normal mode makes use of the core d&d rules.
