Trying to get things back on the subject of BG3, this one article did a surprising amount of damage to the game's reputation.

https://www.vg247.com/2020/02/27/baldurs-gate-3-romance-all-companions/
Baldur’s Gate 3 will launch in Early Access with five companions to begin with, with more coming later. Throughout the main campaign, all companions are open to romance from all other characters, and senior writer Adam Smith is looking to create more complex relationships, with the help of Dungeons & Dragons lore to mess with the players’ heart strings.

“So, Liselle, she’s the Githyanki. And Githyanki don’t really do monogamy,” Smith told VG247.

“So if you sleep with Liselle one night at camp, the next night you might well just find her sleeping with somebody else. And she’s going to be like, ‘oh, that was a bit of fun, wasn’t it? How are you doing?’ And you’re just like, ‘oh!’ Heartbroken!"

Blah, blah, blah. Who cares what video game journalist have to say. They've lost their credibility years ago. All that matters is the following: Are more classes going to be added? Will monk be implemented? Is Larian going to improve the gameplay - or they still fixated on Original Sin gimmicks - This what matters. Not:
>And Githyanki don’t really do monogamy
>If you sleep with Liselle one night at camp, the next night you might well just find her sleeping with somebody else
>Another tricky example of relationships is managing vampiric characters who can feed on sleeping party members if they’re desperate, or just require a top-up
>We want to have jealousy. We want to have just great joy in it

What the fuck even is this. Is Journalist writing pornographic article or talking about Video Games?! Yes. This is what I want to know. If Gay Githyanki Vampire who's into monogamy may possibly feed on Monk Woman's sleeping body.
:retarded:

I haven't seen a single discussion of it on any board of 4chan without the thread descending into arguing about cuckoldry.

How about Aasimar race? They said something about adding them?
They said a lot of vague shit, but at this point in time I'm not sure if even they know for sure what the final game will include.
Chances are they are experimenting with a bunch of things that may or may not be included by the end of the production. Like some of the most "exotic" playable races people datamined in the past months.

5e Aasimar look wicked though. They get transformations:
>Radiant Consumption: Starting at 3rd level, you can use your action to unleash the divine energy within yourself, causing a searing light to radiate from you, pour out of your eyes and mouth, and threaten to char you.
>Necrotic Shroud. Starting at 3rd level, you can use your action to unleash the divine energy within yourself, causing your eyes to turn into pools of darkness and two skeletal, ghostly, flightless wings to sprout from your back. The instant you transform, other creatures within 10 feet of you that can see you must each succeed on a Charisma saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or become frightened of you until the end of your next turn.
>Radiant Soul. Starting at 3rd level, you can use your action to unleash the divine energy within yourself, causing your eyes to glimmer and two luminous, incorporeal wings to sprout from your back.

I have ever seen about five people who give a shit about aasimars, and I'm pretty sure they're just hipsters. Aasimars just don't have a unique design at all, and whatever cool design you might come up with them has already been claimed by one genasi or another.

I like them more than Tieflings (and BG3 is full of them). I would love to finish BG3 as Aasimar.
When I was younger I played the hell out of NWN2 - different races and classes.
I think I just want to recall good memories.

I always end up playing Humans in these games. From NWN 2 to Kingmaker. Even in Knights of the Chalice 2, Human is the best. Starting with extra feat is good. It's the best race for optimized builds. But having more variety would be cool. Human Monk eventually gets stale.

I also like to start as a human. My avatar is my longest playable character.
But I don't want to play as human every single time, so variety is a big yes.

It's already swarming with them, take a look at BG3 subreddit, I want to vomit every time I see another Astarion fan art with comments about fixing him below. Also, RTWP is shit, and has no place in DnD adaptations. DnD is turn based, and the adaptations should be turn-based too.

Asimars are merry sue's race. Also lazy. Just a human. Take human base mesh and change color. Wowzer new race.
