When is this getting a new expansion?

Nicolas (AKA Darkgod), has always had a 'when it's ready' approach to releases. To make matters worse, he has been on a dry spell lately, he seems to be getting around it, though. But yeah, as other users pointed out, it's a mystery.

One nitpick, though, Oozemancer is not the most powerful class. Top 3? Sure. Most resilient class? Definitely. But Paradox Mage and revamped Necro are ahead, Oozemancer lacks offensive power which sometimes leads to stalemates, and stalemates are dangerous in ToME.

Oozemancer has the highest win ratio last time I checked, so that's why I mentioned it as the most powerful class.

Interesting, maybe because it's more straightforward? Oozemancer just needs to be wallowing in slime to succeed, while Paradox Mages need to know about stacking attenuate, resists, and paradox and cooldown management. Necro is similarly complex, with minions and multiple resources. Another factor may be that Necro and PM are both shut down by silence and struggle against antimagic, while Oozemancer has no obvious counters. Fascinating.

Played this a bit a while ago, never got far. Installed it on a whim today, then uninstalled after seeing the character creation screen. Female is the default gender and classes are described with "her" as the pronoun of choice. Has this alwyas been woke or did they troon out at some point like DCSS?

Why you gotta be lying? If you like your tranny game just say so, don't try to mislead people. Every time I clicked new game it defaulted to female. It's even first in the order.
