Well it's alternate history. They show descendants of "German" immigrants positively. And they model society on behavior of patriarchal society that was introduced by erasing ethnicity and introducing "germanization" after 1618.

Year 1400 population were morons and imbeciles, but they were much more nationalistic and egalitarian than was shown in documents about lives of random village farmers in year 1760.

17th place at the wishlist list for an AAA is not good. On release, it will probably climb on higher positions but if I remember correctly, KCD1 was more expected.
I just checked the Steam page, and the new top tags are LGBTQ+, alternate history,
Trolling aside, these 2 tags are accurate, even Ubisoft has the decency to not claim that their games Assassin's creed are historically accurate.
Well at least Assassin creed was sufficiently historically accurate to have pyramids in Egypt.

I wonder if they have at least decent story or if they create random generic story and put it into "medieval" settings of Czech kingdom, call country by its latin name, and claim they have historical game.
(Frankly I'm starting to think that Warhorse's German workers are having some kind of negative influence on story and quality.)
