Any idea on what state is Underrail Infusion? Guess its 2024 release?
Early stages of development. Early, nigga. Colony Ship has been in development for how long long by now, 5-6 years? Do the math.
:negative:

On topic:

1 - literally who
2 - Vavra sold his guts and he's a hohol supporter by the way
3 - have no idea, need to play the demo, looks kinda passable from the first look
4 - wasn't BB based on existing awesome tabletop? if so then there's a question regarding devs own abilities to design game systems and such.
5 - nuff said
6 - probably yeah
7 - promising indeed but that's not a fucking RPG
8 - yes but it's incline only to combatfags, rusty and his lot will probably give it shit yet again
9 - stop promoting this fucking scamware
10 - lol give me a break. they a) have no balls b) have only vague idea how to make a good game in general c) seems like don't know what they even want to make next, wouldn't be surprised if it'll be some kind of 3d narrative driven game like swansong for console audience first

Conclusion: RPG future isn't as bright as you present.

8. Colony Ship - expecting a solid game when it comes out (will take a while like Underrail)

9. Stoneshard - no idea what this is, hearing its vaporware like Realms Beyond

10. ATOM team's NEXT RPG - original was a sterile russian clone of Fallout, and ran like a turd. but lets see if they can come up with something original

Seeds of Incline have been planted, fertilezed by money from Steam Early Access, I expect many a good RPG apple to ripen in near future
So.... STEAM is shit (steaming fertilizer) for these indie seeds to grow and be harvested? But the steam stain background is like a horrible weed on my computer.

1. There is thread and news on Codex main page
2. Not an argument (Hemingway had retarded ideas, yet was great writer)
3. You in high heels look kinda passable
4. WTF are you talking about? No, Battle Brothers wasn't based on board game. It was made by Devs from scratch
5. you
6. are
7. not complete retard (P.S. yes, itz RPG)
8. Colony Ship has great story telling
9. How the fuck is it scamware if itz actively developed and has spent less time in development then Underrail, AoD, Kenshi etc.
10. Your personal butthurt. People on and outside Codex like ATOM

Conclusion: Stop being miserable cunt. I haven't even mentioned at least another 10 promising RPG projects, because I deem them to have 80-90% chance for Incline. This was list for games with 95%+ chance to be BASED and really good

No problem. Become indies sugar daddy and give them money they need to finish their games. No system is perfect. Steam works

Honorable mentions: Kenshi 2, Archaelund, Stellar Tactics, Vagrus team's next project, Battle Brothel Dev's next porn, Fading Afternoon and quite a few more.

Kenshi 2 - doubt it will be better than OG

Vagrus - first game didnt know what it wanted to be, ton of system bloat

Battle Brothel - game for closet cucks

Stellar Tactics - meh

Fading Afternoon - will check out

Old Gods - intrigued me when it appeared, they sure are taking their time. Having doubts regarding content density with this one

Fading Afternoon is story about young Shinzo Abe. Really looks good and is from solo Dev who already delivered two good games

Dragon's Dogma 2 is the game we should all be looking forward to. I'm actually considering buying a shirt to promote it.
Maybe if the classes don't suck this time. I've tried to play the original multiple times and I can tell there's a good game in there somewhere, but none of the classes click with me and I kind of hate their class system in general.

The only class I really liked was the two hand sword class. I think it was the Warrior or something? But it was kind of gimpy compared to the other classes. I think it got 3 skills while the others got 6 and it didn't have any tools to deal with fliers. They should have given it a double jump or something.

I also don't like the whole idea of having three starting classes and advanced classes. It's a stupid idea because some of the advanced classes are worse than the starting classes. Like how strider is better than ranger. Just let me play the class I want from the start and don't do the stat growth in a way that I have to play a class I don't want to play just for the stats and then switch to the class I actually want later. That's shit.

I assume he isn't in control anymore anyway.
WTF are you talking about? No, Battle Brothers wasn't based on board game. It was made by Devs from scratch
My bad, got confused because they put out tabletop themselves.
P.S. yes, itz RPG
Tactics are new RPG is tiresome at this point here. But whatever, I don't mind hybrid games at all myself.
Colony Ship has great story telling
Storytelling is fine there, not talking about that. Non-combat experience however compared to AoD did receive some notable improvements but not too much. And with the new progression system it might be even trickier to balance than before. It might really boil down to whether char have picked +lp feat(s) or not, we'll see how ITS will polish that out. I got even one bad first impression with it from friend who liked that kind of gameplay in AoD.
How the fuck is it scamware if itz actively developed and has spent less time in development then Underrail, AoD, Kenshi etc.
Your example games as far as I know didn't brake dfeadlines so severely and didn't change stuff so drastically on the fly at least in front of everyone. More importantly, your examples are the "survivors", tell that argument to countless abandoned EA projects on Steam. Currently Stoneshard looks as Star Citizen of indie scene. Don't be fooled.
Your personal butthurt. People on and outside Codex like ATOM
People like Skyrim too, so fucking what? I've always talked about both games in a lukewarm manner in case you're implying their recent statement/localization thing. If we put aside all the "tech" stuff like how the game looks, sounds, runs (that all p. great I'll give them that) AND stuff they've carried over from Fallout 1 it'll become pretty obvious that they don't possess any notable talent in game design. Even if they'll announce ATOM 3 you wouldn't expect "incline" because Trudograd essentially was one step ahead, two steps back. But apparently they don't want to do another postapo game yet and who knows what kind of a game they're cooking. So then again, unless one is a total fan of their prominent (abysmal) writing style (which to be fair they've chosen deliberately so they might drop that in their next game, most certainly even will do that I'd bet) I just don't see on what basis anyone would expect something of worth blindly with these guys.

Stop being miserable cunt.
Funny that beleive it or not, I'm sorta the opposite right now and MAYBE it has something to do with the fact I don't even play RPGs or any other games for a few months :D Perhaps that's also the reason why I'm not trying to cling on as many projects that got potential as I can because I'm having fun with the life anyway. What a great summer to switch hobby/unwind at least for a while.

Shit ain't that bad and can be hella better. Decline into stupidity and mad wokeness isn't some axiom of Nature, the Jew Machine so desperately wants you to believe. Balder's Gate 3, P:WoTR, Outer Worlds, Fallout 4 etc could have all been fucking great had they been made by people from 90s with mindset from 80s/90s. Nothing special about those decades except for the fact society was sane and most people are plugged into zeitgeist. Only solution is creating your own bubble zeitgeist and then destorying the current one. RPGs I have listed are made by Devs who either passively or actively resist Clown Wolrd Order. Thus I firmly believe they have good chance to be great

6. Legionary's Life Dev's next game (has been in prod for 2+ years, much more "complex" then his previous work, he's very proud of what he's done so far, most likely historical setting)
Any info on what's he's working on?

Non-woke = incline. That is your problem right there. Do our standarts should really come to just that, nothing else matters? Woke game - trash it, shit on it relentlessly (not that I personally object here although even I can tolerate some woke shitness if otherwise a game is worth it), condemn people who enjoy/play/recommend it. A game was created by non-tainted devs? Why yes, buy it, promote it, consume, slurp, recommend etc etc. No thank you kindly, fuck off with that. I'm more interested in actually playing, enjoying and discussing games for my own fun than to be some kind of culture war soldier. Being a drone is a huge waste of time, wouldn't recommend that to anyone. The best you can do is to actually participate in a process of making (proper) games, otherwise it's a way to become a miserable cunt, speaking of.

No. That's just first prerequisite. Passion, programming skill, talent, imagination, hard work, track record, youth aka not being spent has-been, all of that matters. And Devs whose games I listed in first post have all of that. That's why I invested my hope into these Devs

No ETA yet to share. I have done a lot, but the new game is more complex than this one and there is still a lot left to do. Ideally, I'd like to have at least a small playable demo to release when I disclose the first details, as I did for A Legionary's Life. That is not set in stone though, I might change my mind eventually.

Thank you for your positive feedback, that's always good to hear.
There are no new campaigns planned for A Legionary's Life, but I've been working on a new, as yet undisclosed game for over two years now.

>Oh awsome, is it the same kind of game ?

While the interest in the next game obviously makes me happy, I have to ask you to be patient. I'll reveal everything when it's ready to be shown and made public.

Thankfully, Steam allows cross promotion, so the first important announcement will definitely appear in the news section of a Legionary's Life. There is also the official website [legionaryslife.com], but you'll likely prefer the news section because you can subscribe to it and get notified when something is published.

All these quotes were posted by Dev in time span between 27th od December last year and 6th of June this year. All we know for now is: game is more complex then Legionary's Life, has been in development for 2+ years, will be announced "soon.TM". Considering Dev is hobby if not pro historian, and his preference for RPG mechanics, I'd say his next game is historical RPG with better graphics then last time. Call me "deranged conspiracy theorist" but that seems pretty likely. We'll know what is it probably this year

Is there any reason to believe Kingdom Come 2 is even happening? I visited their offices just before the pandemic and almost no one works there anymore.

Also there's this post by Dev:

>Do we see the Caesars Gaulic campaign and the Roman Civil War in the future?

All will be revealed in due time. :)
That to me is quite obvious *wink* ;)

WarHorse moved to new offices and Vavra is still creative director
