Here's the latest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt hype, a cinematic entitled "A Night To Remember", which CD Projekt are calling the game's "launch cinematic". It shows Geralt having a nightly encounter with a lady who isn't what she seems. He actually gets beat up pretty bad in this one, but proper use of alchemy saves the day.

Alas, poor monster. That was definitely a cooler and more Witchery cinematic than that rather lame one CDPR released last year. Maybe they listened to people's complaints?

CDP is now EA/2K/Ubisoft with all this overproduced promo shit. Congrats to them.

I still think that the cinematic that played when you started up the first witcher is the best in the series.

Typical American trick. Let's make it very obvious that we just flashed you with a nipple, and show you very quick shots of a nude zombie, just to show you we're making a game for adults and we're not afraid of anything.

God forbid we go any further because that would shock our audience since they're not actually mature and that would probably forbid half of them from buying our game by law.

You have to wait for the enhanced edition if you want more than just a nipple.

What it really minds me of is the "she-bitch" fights from Army of Darkness, but with potions and bombs instead of chainsaws and shotguns

Wait, how do you know that it's an Alp and not a Bruxa?

Actually, after thinking about it, I don't think there's any way to tell. Maybe they just went their own way and didn't give a shit. There's not a lot of hard details about the vampires, but of what there is, this one doesn't really specifically match any of them, could be any of them, et cetera.

I really doubt its a bruxa, though, all the details aside from "beautiful" run counter to what bruxa do.

I just figured alp because of the way it fights (alps are described as really quiet/elusive hunters), but it could as easily be nosferatu or any of the random named vampires that nothing is said about.

Cool video in any case.

ETA: Her line about Witchers not usually taking the contract might imply she's nosferatu or analogous higher vampire since they do not have to drink blood/kill humans. At first I thought she was just trying to intimidate him, but maybe it's that instead.

so after all this trouble he leaves the carcass there? :)

HBO already is thinking The Witcher will be the next milk cow after Game of Thrones
